"We're in big trouble," Hoseok furrowed his eyebrows as he massaged his temples in frustration, "Everyone's questioning your relationship with Gayeong. We need to address this problem as soon as possible.
Yoongi let out a deep sigh as he sunk into Hoseok's sofa.
"Not only am I worried about how this will affect the gala," Hoseok continued, shaking his head in disapproval, "but it's also going to impact Mira."
"We should make an announcement and send it to all the staff," Jimin suggested as he stood beside Hoseok's desk with a determined look.
"It won't be that easy but it's worth a try," Hoseok clutched the paperwork in his hand, "People haven't stopped talking about it since yesterday."
"We even had to call security to get Gayeong out," Jimin added, "We really need more guards around the building. It's too easy for strangers to get in.
"I just hope that woman doesn't have any other plans to ruin this," Hoseok scoffed, bringing his coffee mug to his lips, taking a sip.
Yoongi bit his lip anxiously before standing up to head back to his office.
"I'll go work on it right now." He said, his voice firm.
Without waiting for their responses, he stepped out, closing the door behind him.
The situation was spiraling but he knew he had to take control before things got any worse.
As Yoongi walked through the hallways, he couldn't ignore the secretive glances everyone was giving him. He felt the weight of their stares, each one a silent accusation. The whispers and murmurs followed him like a shadow, growing louder with each step. He could no longer pretend it wasn't affecting him.
He couldn't even bring himself to fully blame Gayeong. If only he had done what was right from the start, maybe none of this would have happened.
But right now, he knew he needed to set things right.
Before it's too late.
As soon as Yoongi slammed the door to his office shut, he couldn't suppress the heavy sigh that escaped him. His mind was spinning with frustration, each thought circling back to the same worry:
Mira can't find out about this.
He walked over to his desk, feeling the weight of the situation settle on his shoulders as he sank into his chair. Turning on his computer, he tried to focus but the tension gnawed at him. Just as he was about to dive into work, a knock on the door made him tense up.
"Not now. I'm busy." Yoongi called out, his eyes locked on the computer screen, hoping to avoid any further distractions.
"Someone wants to see you, Mr. Min." The staff member outside hesitated before responding, their voice shaky.
"I said not now."
"He said he needs to see you right now."
Yoongi slowly looked up, raising an eyebrow in suspicion. He stood up, adjusting his suit, trying to push down the irritation that was bubbling inside him.
"Come in." He demanded, bracing himself as he waited for the door to open.
The moment Yoongi saw who it was, his expression hardened. He clenched his jaw, irritation giving way to barely concealed anger.
"Long time no see, Mr. Min."
"What are you doing here?" Yoongi didn't bother to bow and offer a polite greeting as he sat back down.
"I heard you were busy with the gala's preparations," Jihoon smirked, slowly approaching Yoongi's desk.
"Good that you know," Yoongi responded coldly, his fingers continuing to move across the keyboard, "So get out."
"And the thing with Miss Kang."
Yoongi froze, his hands curling into fists.
"What?" Yoongi gritted his teeth, finally lifting his eyes to meet with Jihoon's.
"Does Miss Seo know?" Jihoon continued, his tone dripping with mock concern, "Oh wait, she should by now. Everyone's talking about it." The devilish smile only deepened as he saw the fury building in Yoongi's eyes.
"This is none of your fucking business." Yoongi snapped, his voice laced with barely controlled anger.
"Stay away from Mira."
Yoongi raised his voice as he glared at Jihoon who seemed only more amused by the warning.
Jihoon chuckled, a smug smile playing on his lips as he casually slipped his hands into his pockets. Without a word, he turned and headed toward the door. Just as he was about to leave, he paused and glanced back over his shoulder, his eyes gleaming with mischief.
"See you at the gala."
