"Can we have a word with Min Yoongi?"

"No."

"What? What do you mean no?!"

Hoseok's voice echoed through the grand hallway.

"It's urgent." Hoseok lowered his voice.

Jimin leaned forward, peering down the hallway in hopes of catching a glimpse of Yoongi but there was no sign of him.

"Then can we have a word with Gayeong?" Seokjin decided to step in, his voice calmer. The butler hesitated, raising an eyebrow before slowly turning around, considering the request.

But before he could take a single step to relay the message, Gayeong appeared from around the corner. Her lips pressed into a thin line as she took in the sight of the three uninvited guests standing before her.

"We're really busy right now," Gayeong sighed, placing a hand on her hip, "Come another time."

"You think this is a joke?" Hoseok snapped, raising his voice, "Where's Yoongi?"

"Trying on his wedding suit." Gayeong's lips curved into a delicate, almost taunting smile, "So please, leave."

"Why are you doing this?" Hoseok's took a deep breath, struggling to keep himself composed. His voice shook with barely controlled anger, his fists tightening even more.

"I'm only doing what's right." Gayeong shrugged innocently.

"You—"

Hoseok took a step forward but Jimin quickly reached out, grabbing his arm, trying to hold him back.

Before the situation could escalate, Gayeong's father appeared, his eyes swept over the tense scene.

"What is going on?" Gayeong's father's eyes furrowed his eyebrows, "Is there a problem?"

Yoongi stepped out of the changing room, his eyebrows furrowing as the muffled sounds of voices reached him from down the hallway.

"Where is he?"

The unmistakable voice of Hoseok, sharp and frustrated, cut through the noise, making Yoongi's heart skip a beat.

Yoongi quickened his pace, his footsteps echoing down the hall until he rounded the corner and spotted his friends.

"Yoongi hyung!" Jimin called out the moment their eyes met, his face a mixture of relief and desperation.

"Yoongi!" Gayeong grabbed Yoongi's arm, trying to pull him back but Yoongi shrugged her off, his eyes fixated on Jimin.

"It's time to go." Gayeong's father demanded, raising his voice but Yoongi wasn't listening.

"Tell everyone the truth!" Seokjin intervened, pointing a finger at Gayeong.

"Don't you dare point a finger at my daughter." Gayeong's father swat Seokjin's hand away, pushing Hoseok over the edge.

"WHAT IS WRONG WITH ALL OF YOU?!" Hoseok yelled as Jimin struggled to hold him back. Yoongi rushed forward, gripping Hoseok's shoulders, pulling him away.

"Come back hyung, please," Jimin murmured, his eyes filled with concern, pleading with Yoongi to listen, "Mira, she—"

"She what?"

Yoongi's breath hitched, his heart clenched as he stared at Jimin, his voice barely a whisper as the fear and confusion tightened in his chest.

"Get inside." Gayeong's father grabbed Yoongi's wrist firmly , trying to pull him back inside but Hoseok grabbed him, holding Yoongi in place.

"Your family went over to the Seo Family's place this morning." Hoseok's eyes darted to Gayeong and her father, disgusted by how they seemed to control Yoongi, to trap him in this twisted situation.

But this wasn't about the game that they were playing.

It was about Yoongi knowing the truth.

Hoseok knew he had to get the story out before it was too late.

Yoongi's eyebrows shot up in surprise.

"And Jihoon—" Jimin brought up the one name that would get Yoongi's full attention. Jimin had been left out of the loop about Jihoon for too long, having been away in Paris when Jihoon took the position as an employee in the Min Family's business.

But there was no denying that Jihoon had inserted himself into this mess.

Yoongi's expression hardened at the mention of Jihoon.

He never talked about the full extent of their history but Jihoon had been involved in a money laundering scheme that almost cost the Min Family's business its reputation and success.

It had taken everything in Yoongi to clean up the mess without tarnishing the family name.

Jihoon was an ambitious man.

But his ambitions were driven by greed rather than integrity.

From what Yoongi was aware of, the Choi Family wasn't successful in anything which was why they pushed their only son to join the Min Family's company, hoping his involvement would bring them some measure of status and financial gain.

Yoongi's loyalty and sense of responsibility had driven him to help Jihoon once, thinking he was doing the right thing.

But after what had happened, Yoongi had realized that he had been helping the wrong person all along.

Gayeong's father reached for the door, his hand firmly gripping the knob, ready to pull it shut and end the conversation.

"Jihoon's about to ask Mira's hand in marriage."

Jimin barely had time to see the look on Yoongi's face— the shock, the disbelief, the flicker of panic— before the door was yanked shut with a loud thud.

For a moment, the three of them stood in silence. Hoseok let out a long, frustrated sigh as he stared at the door.

"What now?" Seokjin mumbled.

"Even if we did tell him," Hoseok shook his head, his shoulders slumping, "was anything even accomplished...?"
