"Okay let's see..." Hoseok muttered to himself as he leaned in closer to Yoongi's computer screen, sorting through an overwhelming number of files and documents.

Suddenly, the door slammed open, nearly giving him a heart attack. Hoseok jolted in his seat, his hand instinctively slapping the desk.

"WHAT THE—"

"YOU NEED TO LOOK AT THIS!"

Seokjin burst through the door, one hand gripping the doorframe for support, the other clutching his phone tightly. His chest heaved as if he had just run a marathon. He extended his arm, handing Hoseok his phone.

"What what?!" Hoseok stammered, still recovering from the shock as he snatched Seokjin's phone.

"What am I supposed to be looking at?!" Hoseok's finger swiped at the screen, pulling up the video. The footage was dark and shaky, showing a man and woman standing in what looked like a shadowy alley. Hoseok squinted, trying to make out their faces.

He pressed the buttons on the side of the phone, turning up the volume.

The audio crackled for a moment, the sound muffled at first. But as the voices became clearer, Hoseok's eyes widened in disbelief.

"Marry Seo Family's useless daughter and take their money. It won't be hard. She's fucking stupid to realize anyways."

"No fucking way." Hoseok replayed the video, making sure he was hearing it right.

"Then what are you gonna do about him?"

"He'll give in. Trust me. I know what I'm doing."

Hoseok's mouth opened and closed as if trying to form a response but nothing came out. After a long pause, he finally looked up at Seokjin.

"Should I send this to Yoongi?" Seokjin took his phone back.

"No, hang on," Hoseok stopped Seokjin, grabbing his wrist, "We have to think this through. We shouldn't send it to Yoongi. We should send it to his parents."

"Will they even believe?" Seokjin furrowed his eyebrows, clearly skeptical, "They've been backing Gayeong and her family this whole time!"

"How about Mira?"

Hoseok let out a frustrated sigh, releasing Seokjin's wrist.

"Haven't heard from her. I went by to their place earlier and she wasn't there. Everything is not going well," Hoseok shook his head in disappointment, "Jimin stopped by this morning too and still no sign of her."

"I'll send the video to Jimin." Seokjin insisted in which Hoseok nodded in agreement.

"Did Yoongi even answer any of your messages?" Seokjin added, trying to be hopeful.

"No. Looks like someone has his phone." Hoseok shrugged in defeat.

"I honestly don't know what to do anymore," Hoseok admitted with a heavy sigh, his fingers hovering above the keyboard, "But I've decided to push the gala back a bit."

He continued typing away at Yoongi's computer, organizing files and emails while Seokjin stood nearby, listening.

"I'll try to finish at least half of his work," Hoseok muttered, his focus shifting between the screen and the workload piled around him. He grabbed a stack of documents before sliding them over to Seokjin," Here,  sort these out. It's for the staff."

Seokjin nodded, immediately taking the papers before sifting through them.

Suddenly, Hoseok's phone lit up with a notification, briefly distracting him from the computer screen. A soft, surprised hum escaped him as he picked up the phone to check it. His brows furrowed, a mix of confusion and unease crossing his face. It wasn't any notification — it was an announcement from the company.

But the problem was that —

Hoseok hadn't sent anything out.

As his eyes scanned the headline, he couldn't help but stare in shock and disbelief. Without saying a word, he turned his phone toward Seokjin.
