"Mira!"

Hoseok's voice was desperate but it barely cut through the sound of your intense cries and murmurs. Your head sank down, your tears streamed freely onto the carpet. Hoseok struggled to hold you up as your body went limp, his hands gripping your elbows in an attempt to keep you steady.

"How about me...?"

You cried out, your voice breaking with anger and heartbreak as you collapsed to your knees, the carpet cushioning your fall. Hoseok quickly moved his hand to your shoulders, rubbing your skin in an attempt to soothe you. But the pain in your voice made it clear that it was going to take more than a few comforting words to ease your agony.

"I thought everything was finally going well..."

"Mira, look at me!" Hoseok tapped your shoulders, trying to bring your attention back to him but you refused to lift your head, "We're gonna get him back."

"There's nothing we can do." You sniffled.

"Don't say that," Hoseok responded as he pulled out his phone, "I'm telling Jimin and Seokjin to come over right now."

"WHAT?!" Seokjin's voice thundered through the living room, his eyes widened in shock as he stared at Hoseok.

"There's no way. Gayeong and Yoongi would nev—"

"Well, it already happened."

"NO!"

Hoseok and Seokjin continued to argue, their voices overlapping as they both tried to make sense of the situation. Meanwhile, Jimin sat down, massaging his temples as he tried to keep his own frustration in check.

"Don't you think maybe Gayeong's lying?!" Seokjin suddenly stood up, his voice filled with anger as he looked between Hoseok and Jimin. Jimin quickly grabbed Seokjin's arm, pulling him back down to the sofa, trying to calm him down before things got more out of hand.

"That woman cheated on Yoongi countless times!" Seokjin continued, furrowing his eyebrows, "How is she so sure that that's Yoongi's child?!"

"Woah woah, hang on," Hoseok shook his head slightly, trying to piece together what was happening. He glanced at you, sniffling beside him with a box of tissue in your lap. He had given them to you earlier and now the pile of crumpled, wet tissues were growing steadily, "That happened a long time ago. Has she been with anyone these past few months? She always seemed to have time to follow Yoongi around."

"Maybe Seokjin hyung is right," Jimin murmured, his tone thoughtful as he considered the possibility, "Don't you think that she's lying because she didn't want the marriage to be cancelled?"

"And like I said, Yoongi and Gayeong would never." Seokjin repeated, glancing at your swollen eyes. Hoseok continued to gently pat your back, his eyes fixed on the pile of wet tissues on your lap.

"I'll head over to the Min Family's mansion tomorrow morning." You sniffled, finally looking up.

"I don't think that's a good idea..." Jimin frowned, worry etched on his face.

"Then we three will." Hoseok confidently said, watching the others nod in agreement.

"Well whatever it is, I need a good explanation." Seokjin leaned back as he tried to calm himself down.

"Look, I'm not even sure if we can even change their minds but it's worth a try." Hoseok admitted with a disappointed shrug.

"If they're not gonna cancel the deal then we're gonna crash their wedding." Seokjin said in a serious tone.

Jimin silently watched you, noticing how hard you were trying not to cry again. You took a deep breath, wiping your eyes as you finally found the strength to speak up.

"What about my parents...?" Your voice trembled slightly.

The three of them exchanged confused glances, unsure of what to say.

"Let's try talking to Yoongi's parent first. And whatever happens, we'll go talk to your parents after." Hoseok suggested.

"I'll talk to my parents myself."

"I think that's the best choice." Hoseok opened his mouth to protest but Jimin stepped in, understanding that you needed to handle that part on your own.

"Fine." Hoseok sighed in defeat, reluctantly agreeing.

"But no matter what happens, we'll be here with you."
