After the tense and emotional night, Hoseok, Jimin, and Seokjin finally parted ways. Now that morning has come, Hoseok had sent you a message, letting you know that they were on their way to the Min Family's mansion.

Your mind kept drifting back to Yoongi, wondering what he was thinking or what he was feeling.

What weighed on you most was the looming presence of that giant wedding portrait. The image of you and Yoongi, both smiling for the camera, felt like a cruel reminder of what could have been. How you wish you could turn back time, erase those forced smiles, and replace them with something real - something that reflected the genuine happiness you had once hoped for.

You also couldn't help but wonder how different life might have been if things had played out differently. What if Yoongi had never crossed paths with Gayeong? What if your parents hadn't been burdened by financial problems?

Perhaps in another life, Min Yoongi would have ended up with Kang Gayeong, while you found your way to... Choi Jihoon.

The ringing of the doorbell startled you, pulling you from your thoughts. You jumped to your feet and rushed toward the front door, your heart pounding with the hope that it might be Hoseok.

But as you swung the door open, the sight that greeted you left you frozen in shock.

"Mr. Choi?!"

"Miss Seo..." Jihoon's expression was clouded with concern as he stepped into your home without hesitation. You tried to push the door shut but he was quick to push himself in. You backed away, questions forming in your head.

"How did you know that I live here...?" You mumbled, watching him approach you.

"The Min Family told me. Is everything alright?" Jihoon placed a hand on your shoulder, causing you to freeze.

"Yeah, I am. I think you should leav—"

"Miss Seo, please."

"Why are you here?" You furrowed your eyebrows in suspicion.

"About Mr. Min... Are you alright...?" Jihoon's concern seemed genuine but there was something in his eyes that made you uneasy.

"Please leave." You demanded firmly, heading to the door to open it for him but he grabbed your arm to stop you.

"Let me help you." Jihoon tightened his grip on you.

"I don't need your help." You gritted your teeth in discomfort, your eyes locked on the door, impatiently waiting for Jihoon to step out but he made no move to leave.

"The Min Family will not help your family's financial issues anymore." Jihoon's words made you freeze in place.

Just like that? They're going to cancel everything just like that?

"I can take care of this mysel—"

"I'll help you!"

You instintively took a step back, trying to create some space between you and Jihoon but his grip on your shoulders tightened, holding you in place. His eyes bore into yours, a mixture of desperation and determination that made you uneasy.

"Mira," Jihoon slowly released your shoulders, "The Min Family invited my family over to have a discussion."

"What are you talking about...?" You shook your head in disbelief, the sudden turn of events left you puzzled and anxious.

"Mr. Min... He's under a lot of pressure right now. And with the situation involving the Kang Family..." Jihoon's voice trailed off but the implications were clear.

The mention of the Kang Family just made your heartache.

Had the Min Family really seen you as nothing more than a business deal this entire time?

The question swirled in your mind but the unease growing in the pit of your stomach told you that whatever was happening, it wasn't good. Your heart pounded as you searched his face for answers.

"Mira...?"

You immediately turned your head to see Jimin standing in the doorway.

"Who is he?" Jimin's eyes darted between you and Jihoon, his expression hardening as he took in the situation. He quickly grabbed your hand, pulling you away from Jihoon.

"Who are you?" Jimin demanded, his voice filled with suspicion as he stared Jihoon down, ready to confront whatever threat he might pose.

"I'm only here to do the Min Family a favor." Jihoon's expression remained calm but there was a flicker of annoyance in his eyes as he glanced at you before turning back to JImin.

"If you were close with the Min Family, I would've known. I've never seen you before." Jimin's eyes narrowed as he stepped forward, not buying Jihoon's explanation.

"Then how rude of me," Jihoon chuckled before bowing his head slightly in mock politeness, "I'm Choi Jihoon, a former employee at Mr. Min's company."

So Jihoon and Yoongi used to work together. But what exactly made them hate each other so much now?

"What is your relationship with Seo Mira?" Jimin got cut to the point, his eyes never leaving Jihoon's.

"A close friend. I was there when Yoongi wasn't doing his job as her husband," Jihoon shifted his attention to you, a slight smirk playing on his lips, "Right, Mira?"

"Get out." Jimin ordered, his arm shot out as he pointed firmly at the door.
