"Are you not gonna talk to your wife?" Hoseok glanced over at the lonely woman in the corner of the ballroom.
"What's there to talk about?" Yoongi took another sip of his champagne, his gaze fixed on the couples who were dancing.
"She's your wife." Hoseok repeated as if trying to make Yoongi realize what he meant, "Why don't you invite her for a dance?"
"I don't dance."
"Bullshit," Hoseok shook his head, a mix of pity and frustration in his eyes, "I've seen you dance with Miss Kang plenty of times."
"That's different." Yoongi set his glass down on a nearby table, refusing to look his friend in the eye.
"What's so different about Mira?" Hoseok continued to question him, disturbing Yoongi's peace. Yoongi clenched his jaw, his eyes finally met with Hoseok with a flash of irritation.
"You know I only love Gayeong."
"But she's your wife, Yoongi," Hoseok lowered his voice, "At least make her feel like it."

You stood awkwardly, staring down at the remaining champagne in your glass when the sound of a young man startled you, causing you to immediately look up to see him smiling at you.
His gaze was the complete opposite of your husband's — sincere.
There was warmth in his eyes that you hadn't seen in a long time, a genuine kindness that made you feel momentarily at ease.
"You must be Miss Min."
You didn't know why but you cringed at the name he had addressed you with.
"That's me." You responded with a nervous laugh, slightly bowing in respect. He didn't look familiar, but you could tell that he was much older than your husband.
"And you are..?"
"I'm Choi Jihoon. My parents are good friends with the Min Family." He smiled playfully before looking around in confusion, "Why are you standing here all alone?"
"I'm waiting for my husband." You said, noticing Yoongi glancing at you as he continued talking to a group of guests. Jihoon followed your gaze, a hint of understanding across his face.
"It seems like he's occupied at the moment. Mind if I keep you company until he's free?" Jihoon's smile faded into a more thoughtful expression.
The moment you heard his offer, you felt a small sense of relief wash over you as he began to speak again, distracting you from your husband who was still keeping his eye on you.
"I don't think Mr. Min is happy with me talking to his lovely wife." Jihoon chuckled, glancing over his shoulder at Yoongi with a hint of amusement. He gave a polite nod before stepping back a little.
You would be lying that Jihoon's warm and engaging presence made you forget about your relationship with Yoongi... Well, not until someone decided to take that moment away from you.
"It's time to go home." Your husband's booming voice cut through the ambient chatter, his harsh grip on your wrist making you gasp. Jihoon's eyes widened slightly in concern as he observed the interaction.
"Oh...well, I hope to see you around Miss Mi-"
"Come on." Your husband cut off Jihoon's words before pulling you away, dragging you toward the door. You cast an apologetic look at the poor man who was still taken aback by Yoongi's intervention, noticing that he kept his eyes on you, a look of concern on his face.
As soon as the two of you were outside, Yoongi let go of you before pulling out his phone, holding it to his ear.
"What's the hurry?" You asked, raising an eyebrow. The question hung in the air as Yoongi's attention remained fixed on his phone.
"We're waiting outside." Yoongi ordered the driver, completely ignoring your question.
"The party's not over ye-"
"What? Are you mad because I interrupted your lovely time with Mr. Choi?"
"What?"
You took a step back, stunned by your husband's sudden behavior.
The sound of the car approaching in the distance briefly pulled your attention away, but it did nothing to ease the tension between you and Yoongi.
"Get in." He demanded, opening the car door for you.
"What's wrong with y-"
"I said GET IN." Yoongi raised his voice, causing you to flinch. Without any hesitation, you climbed in, quickly settling into your seat.
Yoongi slammed the door shut with a resounding thud before walking to the other side of the car.
