it was now the day of owen's game, we had been in this foreign state for a total of 2 days now and for those two days i've barely talked to owen since he was stuck in practice 24/7. especially being the quarterback and captain there's more pressure on him.

me, nova and Maia where currently getting dressed in the small room that nova and Maia shared.

me and Owen shared a room , nova and Maia shared a room and Jacob and ron shared a room.

"ivy do you need help with your hair or not" nova yelled from the other side of the bathroom door as i was peeing.

"yeah give me a sec" i yelled back while wiping before washing my hands, drying it and walking our the bathroom.

"just give me a half up half down please" i asked over sweetly smiling at her.

"okay sit down quickly we've only got 15 minutes and i need to do my own" she ranted while patting the floor for me to sit in between her thighs.

she slicked my hair back nestled and started doing her own whilst i ran to i and owen's room to pick out my outfit.

i paired my outfit with some adidas grey sambas before painting my face with owen's shirt number in his teams colours.

i walked back to nova and maia's room and waited on their bed just going on my phone and sending Owen a quick good luck text to which he replied with a 'thank you beautiful'.

"come on i'm tryna see my man" i dragged the man while whining like a child resting my body on the closed door.

"no need to rub it in bitch i'm coming" nova shouted at me before forcefully opening the door making me nearly fall backwards.

i laughed at her annoyed face before linking arms with her and Maia, strutting towards the elevator.

"you look bad asf ivy damn" Maia complimented making me kiss her cheek while saying thank you.

"you look bad asf too" i said back to her smiling.

"yeah I'm just a shadow at this point" nova dramatically said.

"i mean you are the same colour as i shadow" i laughed loudly while dabbing up Maia.

"Maia that's racist" nova accused playfully while trying to hide her smile.

"oh shut up" Maia said rather forcefully making me let out an awkward laugh and side eye nova only to see her side eyeing me back.

me and nova are definitely closer than me and Maia and that's not to say we leave her out but we just relate to stuff more and me and Maia don't have much in common and she takes jokes way too seriously it just ruins the mood.

the elevator door dinged open making me shocked cause i didn't even realise that nova had clicked a button.

we walked out the elevator me and nova laughing about something i saw on TikTok and Maia just tagging along laughing awkwardly with us.

"i'll go save us a seat you guys go get your food" Maia offered walking off not even waiting for us to answer.

we started walking before nova interrupted the comfortable silence.

"ion if I'm tripping but maia's been a bit weird lately like she's always been shady like always but its like since me and you got closer she's got a problem with everything i do" she ranted to me making me nod in agreement.

"yeah man i agree she's just been so lairy all the time and just a total bitch, but it's fine we can't just drop her cause it'll start shit and i ain't really
want that" i said making nova mutter a yeah before dragging me towards the food stand.

i laughed letting her drag me along and buy me my food knowing that this is her silent thank you for letting her rant to me, not that i needed it though she could always tell me anything.

we walked back towards Maia and nova gave her, her change before we sat down in the seats she saved for us, her in the middle which made us side eye each other again but we couldn't say anything before the announcer started talking making me excited since this was my first ever football game and i was going to watch my man.
