Allie's POV;

The next day is Saturday, and Hannah gets me up fairly early so we can get ready to go shopping.

"Do you want to borrow some of my makeup?" Hannah asks me. I smile politely and shake my head. I've never used makeup in my entire life.

Hannah sighs. "I know growing up in so many different homes must be hard, but if you ever want to talk, I'll be here," Hannah says sympathetically. I nod, but know that's never going to happen. I hate talking about my feelings, or anything about myself, for that matter.

Once we're ready, I follow Hannah outside to the car and see Aaliyah scamper over. "I hope you don't mind, I've invited Aaliyah to come along," Hannah says. "Her parents are so busy with Shawn and his touring, they don't have much time to spend with her. They try, but it's hard." I nod and smile at Aaliyah as she gets in the backseat. I decide to sit in the back with her, to keep her company.

Aaliyah cocks her head as she watches me get in next to her. "You're not gonna sit in the front?" She questions. I shrug. "It'll be more fun back here with two people," I say. She grins as Hannah backs out of the driveway.

Aaliyah is a very talkative person. She tells me all about her family, her life, and their little town. I've learned so far that Shawn became famous from an app called Vine, by posting little snippets of songs. Then he got found out and joined a bunch of guys touring called MAGcon. After they went their separate ways, Shawn continued his music career, and now had two singles, an EP, and a full album out. He has millions of fans and spends most of his time touring all over to perform. Aliyah told me she goes with him sometimes, if it's far away. The entire family does. I thought that was kind of cool.

She also tells me that because Shawn is famous, and she gets to travel with him sometimes, she's met a lot of other famous Viners and other celebrities. Again, that's pretty cool.

When we get to the nearest mall, we go to lots of different stores. Aaliyah seems to have a blast shopping, but the whole experience is a little strange to me. Most of the time, my foster parents give me old clothes that used to belong to one of their kids. I don't think I've ever gone shopping like before, but I kind of like it. It's fun to see all the different stores and clothes.

Hannah stops at a large store with lots of electronics inside. "Since you're apart of this family now, it only seems fit you get a phone to keep in touch with us when you're out," Hannah says as we follow her inside.

"Are you kidding?" I ask, my eyes growing wide. Hannah grins. "You've never had a phone before?" Aaliyah asks, her eyes now wide as well. I shake my head. After Hannah gets me an iPhone, we stop to eat dinner in the food court, and Aaliyah shows me how to set my phone up and use it. She also recommends some good apps I should get, and gives me her and Shawn's numbers. Hannah gives me her and Adam's numbers, too.

By the time we finish shopping, both Aaliyah and I have several bags from tons of different stores, and I notice it's starting to get dark as we walk to Hannah's car.

"Thanks so much Mrs. Stevens!" Aaliyah chirps. "Wasn't that fun, Allie?" I smile. "Yeah, thanks Hannah." Hannah smiles at us from the rear view mirror and we head home. This time, Aaliyah is quiet, giving me time to think. I stare out the window and find myself wondering about Shawn. I didn't really get to officially meet him, but he seemed nice, I guess. I only saw him for about a minute, but for some reason, I want to see him again.

My mind wanders off to what Aaliyah told me earlier this morning, about his touring. I wonder what kind of music he plays, where he performs, ect. I'm snapped out of my daydreams when I hear a garage open and I realize that we're back home.

"Thanks again, Mrs. Stevens," Aaliyah says as she gets out of the car. "Allie, how about you help Aaliyah with all her bags," Hannah suggests as she starts to bring mine inside. I nod and help Aaliyah carry all her bags across the street.

"Mom, wait until you see all the things I got!" Aaliyah yells as soon as she opens her front door. I hear the strum of a guitar coming from an office near the front entrance, and then a voice. It's really good. After a few minutes, both the guitar and the voice stop, and I hear the office door open. Shawn emerges, and I feel my heart drop.

•••

"Oh, hi... Allie, right?" He says awkwardly. I smile and nod. "Yeah, Shawn, right?" I mimic. He nods and gives a small smile. "I was just helping your sister bring all her bags inside," I say, noticing that he's watching me with a curious expression. He nods. "Yeah, she loves to shop," he says with a chuckle. I nod. "I've noticed. She's really nice. Very social," I say with a laugh. He rolls his eyes. "Yup, that's Aaliyah for you," he says, slight annoyance in his voice.

I notice now, seeing him up close, that Shawn is very good looking. He has short light brown hair, the front of it sort of sticking up, and beautiful milk-chocolate eyes. He's also very tall, definitely six feet at least, and also very muscular. I vas see his strong his biceps are even with a Jodie covering his arms.

"So, I heard you singing in there. That was really good," I say, trying to start another conversation. He blushes slightly. "Oh, that was nothing. I'm still working on it." I raise my eyebrows. "Wait, you're writing that?" I ask. He chuckles. "Yeah, that's what I do." I purse my lips together and nod. "Well, it's really good," I say. I can't believe a teenage boy wrote something so good, and it's not even done yet. He's got some real talent, being to sing and write songs. He smiles and blushes some more. "Thanks."
