Shawn's POV;
Thankfully, Allie and I were able to work everything out. I feel so horrible for acting the way I did. I could tell how hurt she was when I came to her door. How could I have been so stupid? I was one of the few people she trusted, and the only one she opened up to, and I ruined everything. Even though she forgave me, we still have a long road ahead of us. I have to prove how sorry I am, and more importantly, I have to prove that she can still trust me.
"Wow, good job, Shawn," Aaliyah mutters after I tell her everything that happened. I hadn't really told my family we were fighting, so she was curious as to what was happening.
I groan and shove my face into the couch. "I know! I screwed up so bad, please don't say anything else," I mumble. Aaliyah huffs before plopping down on top of me, causing me to groan again due to the extra weight on top of me.
"Everything will work out. You guys really love each other, it's obvious to see." I wiggle out from under her and sit up, giving her a small smile. "Thanks," I say, getting up to answer the door. I had a few free days, so I decided to come back to work things out with Allie. I have today and tomorrow before I go back on the road for three weeks, so I want to spend them with Allie.
I answer the door and feel my heating up. I've been so awkward around Allie since we agreed to give this another try. I just have to count on myself not to ruin in it.
"Hey," Allie says with a small smile. Her green eyes are so beautiful when she smiles. "Hi," I say, smiling like an idiot as I gesture for her to come inside. Aaliyah grins at us before skipping up to her room and I roll my eyes.
"So, what are we doing today?" Allie asks as she lays across my couch. I lift her feet up to sit down with a chuckle.
"I don't know, what do you wanna do?" She sits up and shrugs, then I get an idea.
"We should make cupcakes," I say, looking over to Allie. She shrugs with a smile. "Okay."
I happily go into the kitchen and get out everything we'll need to make cupcakes. Allie perches herself on the counter and watched with a small smile.
"Shall I put on some music?" She asks, swinging her legs back and forth. I nod as I get everything situated, and then I hear a familiar voice.
"Oh my god, no!" I exclaim as I hear myself covering a song on YouTube. "Allie turn that off, oh my god it's so bad!" I reach out to to grab her phone, but she giggles and holds it up high over my head. I roll my eyes as I try to grab it and Allie giggles.
"Won't you, stay with me," Allie sings alone to my younger self, and I cringe. I quickly grab my fingers into her sides, making her squeal and slide off the counter. In the process, her free hand manages to throw flour all over me.
She gasps as she takes a step back, trying not to laugh. I shake myself off and playfully glare at her.
"That's what you get for trying to tickle me," she states. "You're playing my old songs, I have a right to tickle you!" I shoot back. She giggles and throws some more flour on me. "Oh, you're gonna get it now," I say, grabbing a cup of water and throwing at her. She shrieks and runs away. I try to follow, but end up slipping in the water I just poured all over her (and the floor) and land on my butt.
"Hah!" She shoots back, reappearing in the kitchen. I grab her legs as she tries to step around me, causing her to land in the floor. "Let go!" She shrieks, desperately trying to wiggle her way out of my tight grip. "Not a chance," I whisper in her ear, making her shiver.
I grab the closest thing I can find from the counter, which happens to be more flour, and dump it on Allie's head. She gasps and begins to cough as she squeezes her eyes shut and shakes her head. "Payback," I state. She shakes her head at me and coughs harder. "Good job, I have asthma," she says in between gasps for air, and I panic. I'm so stupid!
"Hah! Payback!" Allie shouts. I didn't even realize she got up, and before I can process what she's doing I feel something crack on my head. I curl my upper lip in disgust as I feel a smile substance dripping from my head. "They say eggs are supposed to be good for your hair," she says, flashing a sweet and innocent smile.
"No fair, I thought you were dying of an asthma attack!" She grins at me and shrugs. "I could have, but I didn't," she says with a smirk. I shake my head and quickly get to my feet, rubbing my hands around my head and then touching Allie's face. "Shawn!" She squeals, a look of shock and disgust on her face. I smile cheekily before pulling her close to me and connecting our lips. We both smile into the kiss and pull away laughing. "We better get cleaned up now," I say, still laughing.
I've missed this. I've missed us. Being with Allie is like being able to breathe. It was like I was suffocating without her. Being with Allie is like coming up for a breath of fresh air.
A/N - oohh another cliche ending hehehe. Well yay things are getting better between this lovely duo so stick around and thanks for reading y'all! Xoxo - Em😊❤️
