*Magical unicorn time skip to the end of May;)*
Allie's POV;
"Oh! What about this one?" Kelly asks, holding out a beautiful blue dress. It gets lighter at the bottom and has sparkly sequins on the top.
"Try it on," Faith encourages, shooing Kelly away to the dressing rooms.
"Oh my gosh! It's beautiful!" Faith squeals as Kelly emerges from the dressing room and twirls around. It does look great on her, and it brings out her piercing blue eyes as well.
"So?" Kelly questions, looking at her reflection.
"Say yes to the dress!" Faith and I say in unison. Kelly rolls her eyes, but puts the dress on hold so she can get it later when her parents are with her.

"So, do you think that Shawn will ask you to the prom?" Kelly asks later as we walk home from the dress shop. It took a lot longer for me and Faith to find a dress we love, but we finally did. I have to admit, I'm really excited even though I've never really liked dresses.
I shrug. "I don't know. Is he even allowed to go? I don't know if still considered a student here or not," I say as a cool spring breeze pushes my hair behind me.
"They love Shawn, he's always been allowed back for school activities," Faith says with a shrug. I nod, part of me hoping that he'll ask me. Hopefully he will, and he won't have to go on tour.
I'm snapped out of my thoughts at the sound of my phone buzzing. I pull it out to see a text from Shawn. Ha, speak of the devil.
"I gotta go, Shawn wants me to come over to his house right now," I say, turning left instead of right. Faith and Kelly exchange sly glances, but I decide to ignore them. They say goodbye as I make my way to Shawn's house. He told me to just walk right in, so I do, but the house seems completely deserted.
My attention is turned to rose petals on the floor. They trail down the hall and into the living room. I raise my eyebrows and decide to follow them, finding Shawn sitting on the couch and grinning like and idiot.
"Allie, would you do me the honor of accompanying me to the prom?" He asks. He's holding a huge sign filled with stickers and pictures and things that says "Prom?" I bite my lip as butterflies fill my stomach, and nod. I hear the sound of a camera and see Aaliyah holding my Polaroid camera. I must've left it here the other day, but it came in handy. I stand next to Shawn and his sign and Aaliyah snaps a picture of us smiling, hugging and kissing, and gives them to me to add to our photo album. I also taped Shawn's song he wrote to me on a page, since he gave me the lyrics he wrote down.
"You guys are so erring married one day," Aaliyah sighs, and I giggle. Shawn turns red, making me laugh even more.

Once Faith, Kelly and I are ready, we make our way to Shawn's house. Faith and Kelly managed to find dates. Kelly got asked by a guy named Colton. Apparently they've had a thing for each other for a while, but they're really cute together. Faith was asked by someone named Cory. He's a know-it-all in all the advanced classes and clubs. Total nerd, but they suit each other. Neither of them are bad looking either, but I'd never admit it out loud.
Aaliyah and her mom are snapping pictures of us doing everything. I allowed Aaliyah to use my Polaroid to take pictures for my photo album and they're actually really cute.
Once we get to the venue where the dance is being held, Shawn grabs my hand and intertwines our fingers. I smile as we walk to the crowded area, and Shawn smiles as he kisses my cheek.
"May I have this dance?"
"Of course."
He puts his hands around my waist and pulls me close to his chest. I wrap my arms around his neck and rest my head on his shoulder as we away back and forth to the music. I notice Kelly and Colton a little ways away kissing, and smile to myself. I think their "thing" just became official.
"I love you, Allie," Shawn says with a sigh. I pull away, only for him to crash his lips onto mine. I entangle my hands in his hair as I deepen the kiss. We both smile into it, pulling away breathless. "I love you, too."
