Welcome to Hell, not Michigan

(Y/N) affixed his cufflinks to his shirt before straightening the sleeves. He had an important meeting soon with a contractor and another party, one that could avoid his contractor going under and possibly taking the entire global market with them. He was just about to reach over to his coat rack to grab his suit jacket when the intercom on his nightstand rang.

"I thought I made it clear I wasn't to be disturbed," (Y/N) chided, annoyed.

"You did, but we have a problem," the voice of Mazikeen replied. "Your friends from the Greek camp are here."

If (Y/N)'s scowl could have deepened any further, it would have. This was the last thing he wanted to deal with right now. "Well tell them they have two options: they can either forget why they came here, or they can wait a week. I have an appointment in Korea within the hour, and I cannot afford to miss it."

"I would, but someone already told them where to find you," Mazikeen replied. "They left Pride a couple of hours ago."

"Of course they did," (Y/N) sighed. "ETA?"

Mazikeen tried to suppress a chuckle, but enough of it came through that (Y/N) could still hear it. "No idea," she said.

(Y/N) put his hand to his temple. "Mazikeen, if I find out that you're the one who sent them my way, I am putting you on Lake Janitor duty for the next fifty years."

Just as he hung up on Mazikeen, his front doorbell rang. He already knew who it was.

Hours Ago

"Get down," Simon hissed, waving the other demigods into an alley of the pride ring. The souls of human sinners milled around the streets of the ring while lesser demons flew overhead, looking for any kind of trouble.

"Why would the Labyrinth take us here?" Annabeth wondered.

"To get (Y/N)'s help, maybe?" Percy suggested. "He'd be a real powerhouse if he agrees."

"I mean, I wouldn't say no to having an archdemon with us," Grover admitted, "but is that really such a good idea? Didn't he just lose his girlfriend to the Hunters?"

"Couldn't tell you," Simon said. "We haven't heard from him since you all got back from your quest for Artemis. He might be holding a grudge, or he might have just been too busy to talk."

"And neither would be good for getting him to help us," Annabeth said.

"We won't know unless we ask, will we?" Percy suggested.

"How do we reach him?" Tyson asked.

"If this is Pride, we go down," Simon stated. "He's either in Greed or Dis, I'm not sure."

"You guys looking for (Y/N)?" a female voice asked from above them. The demigods looked up and saw a female demon sitting on the edge of the roof. Percy and Annabeth recognized her.

"You're one of the demons who was with (Y/N) when he helped us in San Francisco," Percy realized.

"Yep, name's Mazikeen," she introduced herself. "Apparently I'm (Y/N)'s enforcer now. I heard you five were looking for him?"

"We need his help," Annabeth said. "The Labyrinth is active, that's how we got here. At best, the Titans will use it to flank Hell. At worst, they're flanking Camp Half-Blood."

"Need his help?" Mazikeen asked, "Or want it? I don't even know if he really likes you guys anymore, and even if he does he won't help for free."

"(Y/N) won't charge much," Tyson said, assured. "(Y/N) is friend! Can't be above what we have!"

"Eh, not too sure about that, big guy," Mazikeen said. "He might give you a discount for the new one if he still likes you, but he still might want to charge you for the other three."

"All of those prophecies said he had to be there, though!" Grover complained.

"And now he's the lord of Greed, so that doesn't mean anything," Mazikeen responded. "If you could've seen how Asmodeus was before Lucifer's return, you'd know how much a domain can take over its lord."

"There's no way he's been an archdemon long enough for that," Percy objected. "It's only been six months, and he has a stronger will than you give him credit for."

Mazikeen was about to respond, but Annabeth beat her to it. "Does he?"

Percy turned to look at her, surprise on his face.

"You saw how quickly he started taking things in Hephaestus's junkyard," Annabeth pointed out. "If his very existence is making that worse, then how bad is he now?"

The group looked at each other for a little bit. This was the first that Simon had heard of (Y/N) taking things from the junkyard, the first that he had heard of (Y/N) getting Bianca killed. He had assumed it was a freak accident, a single freak misstep activating Talos like a landmine. But if (Y/N) had been responsible for it...

"We should meet with him anyway," Simon suggested. "Worst case scenario, we go back into the Labyrinth without him."

The other four Greeks looked between each other before seemingly coming to a consensus. Annabeth turned back to Mazikeen.

"You said you knew where to find him?"

Mazikeen smiled. "Oh, I know so much more than that," she said as she pulled out a small card. "This is a quick pass to Dis. Just give it to a ferryman and they'll take you right down. He'll be in the giant golden mansion."

Tyson was about to reach for it but Annabeth put an arm in front of him to stop him. "What's the catch?" she asked.

Mazikeen let out a slight laugh. "Smart girl. No catch from me, though. The face that (Y/N)'s going to make when he sees you is more than enough for me."

Annabeth cautiously reached out and grabbed the small pass. Once it was in her hands, she looked down to examine it but found the card to be completely blank.

"What is-" Whatever Annabeth was about to ask, she was cut off by an explosion, leaving the question in her throat.

"Ugh, an oversight," Mazikeen groaned. "How the here did they even get explosives down here? Listen, just give it to the ferryman. He'll know where you're going. I have a job to do."

With that, she popped her wings out of her back and took to the hellish skies, her daggers drawn as she looked down upon the streets of the Pride ring.

The Greeks were left alone again, still somewhat confused regarding the entire encounter. Annabeth looked down at the card again, still confused at the fact that the card was blank.
