If you were to ask Samira how she felt right now, there would only be one word in her response. Peaceful. She was happy, healthy—shit, she could even say that she was wealthy now—her son was growing up faster each day, she was surrounded by a great group of friends, and her and her man had been together for a whole year.
Was their relationship perfect? Hell no. But they were both happy. Samira was happier than she had been in a very long time, and she couldn't help but think Chris was the main reason for that. A year of being loved the right way, no secrets, no words left unsaid, no sneaking around—just pure love. A genuine love that Samira didn't think she would ever feel.
Not only was her relationship blossoming, but so was her career. She was still in the studio whenever she pleased, writing music with lyrics she couldn't wait to share with the world, and teasing it on her social medias to send her fans into a frenzy. She did photo shoots every once in while, did a few pop-up performances at some winter festivals, but today she had an interview.
Billboard reached out to her about a week ago, wanting to know if she would be comfortable with coming to their studio to do an interview for their YouTube channel. She almost immediately said yes, then they booked her a flight to Atlanta, and that's how she ended up behind the expensive camera. Sadiah sat with Jasmine a few feet away on a leather couch, while prepared for the director's instructions. And soon enough, the camera was rolling.
"I'm just so new to all this, y'know?" Samira laughed as the interviewer took a seat just out of the camera's view, "And how does that make you feel?"
