Inko Yagi had not been the same since her husbands revealed death. While thankful that her children were safe, the pain of losing Toshinori hit her the hardest, especially when it came to going through the usual process of death. Funeral plans, organising times, going through his things, Inko didn't want to have to go do these things, but what choice did she have? When going through the closet, she saw his silver age costume hanging on the side, somewhat collecting dust.

When she first learned of his identity as All Might, all she ever had was worry for him. But that worry soon subsided as time passed. After all, her husband was the strongest hero in the world, he was practically invincible. But even the strongest can be killed, and she learned that painful reality through her son.

The door to the room opened, with Izuku slowly stepping in with a face full of guilt. His bright blue eyes glowing slightly in the small amounts of darkness.

"Hey, mum."

"Hey... Izuku."

After the greeting, she continued to go through the closet, while Izuku walked towards her.

"What are you doing?" Izuku asked her.

"Well, the Japanese museum called while you were in the hospital yesterday. They wanted me to donate one of your fathers old costumes. Said they were making a dedicated area in his honor."

"I see."

"Unfortunately, your father never had another golden age costume, so the silver age one is what I'm going to be donating, right after I clean it."

Izuku sat on the bed, while Inko took the costume to the laundry room and began to put it through the washing machine.

"Hey, mum. Why did you decide to marry dad?"

Inko became perplexed by this. "Where did this come from, Izuku?"

"I don't know. I guess... decide being your kid, I never knew anything about you guys besides your birthdays. So... I figured I'd..."

"Well, every person has a different reason for wanting to marry someone. For me at least, your father was a strong but kind man. He basically became my rock."

"Guess you really hit the jackpot with dad, huh?"

"Yeah, I really did."

They sat on the bed for a little while, before Izuku decided to continue the conversation with another question about his dad.

"Say, while we're on the topic on dad, when did you discover his secret?"

"Well... it was before you and your sister were even born."

"Huh?"

"I walked in on him trying to change out of his hero costume and had a big fight over it. I basically said it was either me or hero work. But after some time, I eventually caved in and admitted defeat. I grew to understood why your father wanted to be a hero, so I supported his decision with the promise that he would always come back home."

Izuku grew a bit more guilty at this. But Inko, upon seeing this began to divulge something to him.

"Izuku, the day you told me about your fathers death, I was overwhelmed with all sorts of thoughts. But never in that moment did I blame you for his death. You and your father may have not had the best relationship, but in spite of all that, I know your father would've never blamed you for what happened."

The words reached into Izuku's mind, and clung to him tightly. But his guilt only made it more painful.

"I still could've done something." He thought to himself.
