As Sukuna led the way through the dense forest, his steps were sure and steady, his mind, however, was anything but steady. Sayako laid unconscious in Uraume's arms, her body limp as they moved deeper into the wilderness. The forest around them was silent, save for the occasional rustle of leaves or the distant call of a bird. But in Sukuna's mind, there was a whirlwind of thoughts, most of them revolving around the woman they were now carrying.

Uraume, ever the loyal servant, followed close behind their master, their gaze shifting from Sukuna to Sayako with a mix of curiosity and concern. They knew exactly who Sayako was- the princess of the Yurechi Clan, the wielder of the Purple Eyes, and once, Sukuna's closest companion before he became the King of Curses. Uraume had been there, had seen and heard the bond that once existed between them, a bond that now seemed to be forgotten by the man who walked ahead.

As they walked, Sukuna's voice broke the silence, his tone uncharacteristically thoughtful. "Uraume," he began, not turning to look at them, "do you know who she is?"

Uraume hesitated for a moment, carefully choosing their words before responding. "Yes, sukuna-sama. She is Sayako, a member of the Yurechi Clan. The clan is known for their sorcerers and the unique Purple Eyes trait that she possesses."

Sukuna's expression remained unreadable, but his steps slowed slightly. "Sayako..." he repeated the name, as if testing it on his tongue, trying to see if it stirred any memories within him. "And these Purple Eyes... what significance do they hold?"

Uraume looked down at Sayako's peaceful face, her eyes closed, unaware of the conversation about her. "The Purple Eyes are rare, sukuna-sama, a symbol of great power and responsibility within the Yurechi Clan. It is said that those who possess them are destined for greatness."

Sukuna absorbed this information, his mind working to piece together fragments of memories that seemed just out of reach. Everything Uraume was saying felt both familiar and unfamiliar to him, like a distant dream that he couldn't quite recall.

"And her relationship to the Yurechi Clan?" Sukuna asked, his voice a little softer now, a hint of something unfamiliar creeping into it- curiosity, perhaps, or maybe something deeper.

"She is the one next in line for the throne after Queen Izayoi, the current ruler of the Yurechi Clan," Uraume answered, keeping their tone neutral. They knew there was more to Sayako's story, more to her connection with Sukuna, but they held back, sensing that now was not the time to reveal everything.

Sukuna's brow furrowed as he considered Uraume's words. A woman who would take over a throne as a queen, a powerful sorceress with unique eyes... why did this feel so significant to him? Why did she feel so significant to him?

He glanced back at Sayako, still unconscious, her face serene despite the circumstances. There was something about her that tugged at him, something that made him feel... connected. But it was a connection he couldn't fully understand, let alone remember.

"Is that all, Uraume?" Sukuna asked, his voice tinged with frustration as if he was trying to dig deeper into the recesses of his mind for answers that just wouldn't come.

Uraume looked up, meeting Sukuna's gaze. They knew more- much more-about Sayako and her past with Sukuna. They knew about the bond they once shared, the battles they fought together, the trust and perhaps even the love that once existed between them. But now was not the time to reveal it. Not yet.

"Yes," Uraume finally replied, bowing their head slightly. "That is all."

Sukuna's gaze lingered on Sayako for a moment longer before he turned back around, continuing their journey. His thoughts were in turmoil, his heart unsteady in a way it hadn't been in a year. He was the King of Curses, feared by all, yet here he was, unnerved by a woman who laid unconscious in his servant's arms.

The rest of the journey was quiet, the only sound being the crunch of leaves underfoot as they made their way through the forest and up into the mountains. The shrine where Sukuna resided was hidden deep within the mountains, a place where no one dared to venture unless summoned by him.

As they approached the shrine, Uraume cast a glance at Sukuna, wondering what was going through his mind. They had their suspicions- no, they were certain-that Sayako was the key to unlocking something within Sukuna, something that had been lost when he became the King of Curses. But revealing that now could have unforeseen consequences, ones that even Uraume was not willing to risk.

Once they reached the shrine, Sukuna finally stopped and turned to Uraume. "Take her inside," he ordered, his voice returning to its usual commanding tone, though there was a subtle edge to it, a hint of something unresolved.

Uraume nodded and carried Sayako inside the shrine, laying her down gently on a soft futon in one of the rooms. They made sure she was comfortable, her breathing steady, her pulse strong. As they stood up, they couldn't help but look at her one more time, wondering what would happen when she woke up, how she would react to finding herself in the King of Curses' domain.

Sukuna remained at the doorway, watching as Uraume tended to Sayako. His mind was still clouded with thoughts of her, with the strange feeling that he should know her, should remember something about her, but no matter how hard he tried, it slipped away like sand through his fingers.

As Uraume finished, they turned to Sukuna. "She will need her injuries to be treated" they said. "She's been through a lot."

Sukuna didn't respond immediately. His eyes were fixed on Sayako, his mind wrestling with the strange emotions that were beginning to stir within him. Finally, he gave a curt nod. "call the maids then," he said quietly, before turning and walking away, leaving Uraume alone with their thoughts.

As Sukuna retreated to his own chambers, Uraume watched him go, a mixture of concern and hope flickering in their eyes. They knew there was a way to restore Sukuna's memories, to bring back the man he once was- the man who had fought alongside Sayako, who had cared for her in ways no one else had. But that time had not yet come.

For now, they would wait. Wait and see what fate had in store for the King of Curses and the princess he had unknowingly taken under his wing once more.
