"Kim Taehyung, do you take Park Ava to be your lawfully wedded wife?"
"I DO" he spoke with a blank expression, his eyes betraying no emotion.
"Park Ava, do you take Kim Taehyung to be your lawfully wedded husband?"
"I d-do" she spoke slowly, and th...
"So, Miss Ava, which department do you work in?" he asked.
"Are you going to fire me?" she said abruptly, choosing to ignore his question
"And why would I do that?"
"Because I threw coffee on you."
"Isn't it a few days since that incident? If I wanted to fire you, I would have done it then."
"So, why did you want to meet me?"
"Can't I call my employees? I'm the boss; I can call anyone who works in my company if I want to."
"Oh."
The conversation continued smoothly, both unaware of the underlying tension.
"But you will have to pay for your mistake," he said.
"What?" she asked, puzzled.
"The suit you ruined cost more than your monthly salary. As far as I know, you haven't been working here long enough to cover that."
He knew very well that the suit didn't really matter, but he needed an excuse to bring her in. He was overthinking this, not quite sure why he was doing it.
"Okay, what do I have to do? Should I pay you back?" she asked, still confused about his intentions.
"No, I'm not going to take money from someone who works for me. Instead, you'll need to do extra work."She looked up, paying close attention to what he was asking her to do.
"For now, you can go. I'll call you later when I decide what tasks you'll be assigned," he said with a smirk.
She replied quietly, "Okay," then stood up and headed for the door.
"Wait," he stopped her.
"Give me your number," he said.
A smile danced on her face, though she was unaware.
"What? It's not what you think," he continued, pausing to find the right words. "I need your number because if I have some work for you. I'll call you immediately.".
She scoffed, grabbed a pen and paper from the table, wrote down her number, and then turned on her heel, leaving without a word.
Out of nowhere, he said, 'She's cute,' as if the thought had just popped into his head.
"She looks beautiful when she smiles. Her eyes are pretty, and tears don't suit them. And her blonde hair-" He stopped mid-thought, realizing what he was thinking and smiled foolishly.
Clearing his throat, he said to himself, "What's wrong with me? She's just an employee. There are many like her."
