They arrived at a huge, cozy restaurant. She followed him inside.
They reached their reserved table, and Taehyung pulled out his chair and sat down casually. She stood there, watching him.
"What, you want me to pull out the chair for you?" he said with a playful smile.
She pulled out her chair and sat down.
“Why do you always misunderstand me?I never mentioned anything like that.”
"You don't have to say anything. Everything's written on your face. You're just an open book, and I’d love to read this book for the rest of my life,"
He didn’t realize how deeply his simple words affected her.
He cleared his throat. “Let’s order something,” he said, avoiding eye contact and glancing at the menu.
“But aren’t we here for a meeting? We need to wait for your client” she responded
He looked at her, his eyes wide as if caught off guard. “Oh, he’ll be here soon. You can order whatever you want. I’ll be back—I need to take a phone call,” he said, standing up and leaving her puzzled.
He returned five minutes later and sat down.
“Did you decide on something yet?” he asked casually.
“Nope, all these dishes are new to me. I’ve never been to this type of restaurant before,” she replied, her eyes still glued to the menu.
"No worries. Let’s just go with my favorite. It’s what I always get when I’m here.”
“What about your client? Isn’t he running late?” she asked.
“He’s not coming. He’s stuck with something.”
“Oh, I see.”
“Do you come here often?”
“Yeah, I come here pretty regularly. It’s my friend’s restaurant.”
They ordered their food and waited eagerly. She was particularly excited, anticipating her husband's favorite dish. After about ten minutes, the food finally arrived.
As he started eating, his gaze stayed fixed on her, wondering if she would enjoy the meal. He was curious to see her reaction.
When she finally tasted the dish, her face brightened with pleasure. “It’s amazing! Now I see why you come here so often,” she said with genuine excitement.
He smiled warmly, pleased to see her so happy with the food.
