"Kim Taehyung, do you take Park Ava to be your lawfully wedded wife?"
"I DO" he spoke with a blank expression, his eyes betraying no emotion.

He stood blankly in his office, watching the rain fall, just like yesterday. But today, everything felt different; the laughter that once filled the room was replaced by suffocating silence. He could escape the weight of his losses. He loved his company and valued his team's hard work, but the betrayal cut deep.
His mind fixated on her—Ava. How could she betray him? He had finally found happiness after years of feeling empty, only to watch it slip away. Now, guilt overwhelmed him. He had cheated on his wife, and this was his punishment. He had never been the type to stray, but with her, everything had felt so real.
He wanted to understand. If it was money she sought, he would give her everything—his heart, his soul. The idea of losing her was unbearable. He needed to see her again, just to understand why she did this.
He left his office, his heart pounding with a mix of fear and hope as he made his way to Ava’s house. This couldn’t be the end. He had to fight for her, to uncover the truth behind the betrayal that had torn them apart.
Taehyung arrived at Ava’s house, heart racing. He found the door locked, the silence heavy with an unsettling stillness. A creeping dread washed over him as he learned from a neighbor that the police had been there, and the landlord had thrown Ava out. His heart sank.
Rain began to pour, each drop echoing his despair as he walked away from the house. He felt lost until he spotted a figure huddled in the shadows of an alley. Approaching cautiously, he realized it was Ava, her silhouette shivering against the rain-soaked ground.
"Ava," he called softly, the sound almost drowned out by the storm. She looked up, eyes wide with surprise and relief, and instantly stood, calling his name with a mix of fear and longing. She rushed into his arms, trembling from the cold and fear.
Tears mixed with the rain as she hugged him tightly, her small hiccups breaking the silence. Taehyung wrapped his arms around her, promising silently to keep her safe, no matter what; never let her go again.
The ride back to Taehyung's house was quiet, filled with unspoken thoughts. As he parked in front of his house, he stepped out and opened the door for Ava, who seemed lost in her own world. Their eyes met for a brief moment before she got out of the car, still deep in thought.
They walked to the gate, and Taehyung gently opened it. The house was dark, but when he flipped the switch, light filled the space. He turned to find Ava still standing at the door, her gaze distant . “Ava,” he called softly, and she looked at him, a flicker of tiredness in her eyes. He pointed toward the guest room, guiding her inside.
"Wait here; I’ll be back with your luggage," he said lightly. She nodded, her face a mix of gratitude and lingering thoughts, and he left her in the dim room.
When he returned with her suitcase, he placed it carefully inside the room before slipping away to his own space. It was only then he realized he was soaked from the rain.
After a short while, dressed in a simple hoodie and pants, Taehyung returned to the guest room. He knocked softly—once, then twice—but there was no answer. A flutter of worry stirred within him, urging him to check. He gently opened the door and called her name, but silence filled the air.
As he stepped inside, his heart sank at the sight before him. Ava was sleeping peacefully, her chest rising and falling gently. The tension of the day faded, replaced by a strong desire to protect her. He stood there, quietly watching her, as a soft smile appeared on his face, realizing that even in the silence, something beautiful was growing between them.
Taehyung stood still for a moment, taking in the sight of Ava asleep, her brows slightly furrowed as a shiver ran through her.
He quietly crossed the room to where a soft blanket lay draped over a chair. He picked it up and approached her, careful not to make any noise. As he gently laid the blanket over her, he noticed how her body relaxed under its warmth, a small sigh escaping her lips.
“Stay warm, Ava,” he whispered, his heart aching with tenderness.
After making sure she was comfortable, Taehyung quietly left the guest room, careful not to disturb Ava’s peaceful sleep.
As he walked down the hallway, he headed to the kitchen, hoping to make something to eat.
However, when he opened the fridge, he found it mostly empty, It dawned on him how little he actually cooked for himself.
Sighing, he pulled out his phone and decided to order something instead. As he placed the order, he couldn’t shake the feeling of her presence still lingering in the house.
While he waited for the food to arrive, he made himself a cup of coffee. He sat at the kitchen table, glancing at the clock, counting the minutes until he could check on Ava again.
Just as he was lost in thought, his phone buzzed with a notification—the food was on its way. He stood, preparing to set the table, eager to share a meal with her when she woke up.
Taehyung leaned back against the wall, watching Ava as she stirred, her eyes fluttering open. When their gazes met, she blinked in surprise and murmured,"Taehyung?"
"Hey, you fell asleep," he said softly, a smile creeping onto his face. "I didn’t want you to be cold."
"Thank you," she replied, but then her expression shifted, and tears began to fill her eyes.
Before he could react, sobs broke free from her. "I didn’t do anything! I swear I didn’t!" she cried, her voice cracking. "Everyone blames me. They think I betrayed you."
Taehyung's heart raced as he rushed to her side, kneeling beside her. "Ava, it’s okay. I believe you," he said gently, "I’m so sorry for not believing you before. I should have trusted you."
Her gaze locked onto his, desperation etched on her face. "You really believe me?" she whispered, her voice trembling.
"Yes, I do," he replied firmly, his gaze steady. "I was foolish to doubt you for even a moment. I know you wouldn’t hurt me like that."
The tension in her shoulders began to ease slightly, but the pain in her eyes remained. "Please don’t ever think that about me," she pleaded, her voice barely above a whisper.
"I won’t," Taehyung promised, taking her hand in his. "You mean too much to me. We’ll get through this together." He stood up slightly and kissed her forehead gently.
In that moment, the weight of her fears began to lift, replaced by a fragile hope that maybe they could find their way back to each other, stronger than before.
