It had been three days since the coffee incident, and all he could think about was her. Seeing tears in her eyes had left him frustrated, and he needed to see her again to end these unsettling thoughts.
His security was detailing his daily schedule when he interrupted her midway.
“Miss Lee, bring the employee who threw coffee on me.”
“What?” Confusion tinged her voice.
“Are you deaf? Didn’t you hear what I said?” he snapped, his irritation evident.
“I’m sorry, sir. I’ll bring her,” she said, apologizing before quickly leaving.
He hears a knock on the door. 'Come in,' he said.
She steps in hesitantly, not daring to look up. “Is he going to fire me, or has he discovered that I'm his wife? Oh no, I’ve worked so hard to get here. He can’t just dismiss me like this,” her negative thoughts swirl in her mind.
“You can sit,” he says coldly. He knows very well who is standing in front of him but chooses to pretend to focus on his work. He glances up, his heart skipping a beat, but he chooses to ignore this new feeling.
“So, what's your name?” he asked.
She breathed a sigh of relief. “Thank God he doesn't know. Should I give my real name or just make up a random one? Oh, Ava, you're being stupid. If he finds out because of this ID card, it’ll be a disaster.” Her thoughts were interrupted by her husband’s voice.
“What, you don’t know your name or—”
“Ava. Kim Ava,” she cut him off.
“He stared at her. Her voice is as beautiful as she looks, he thought, but quickly scolded himself for thinking like that.
