"Kim Taehyung, do you take Park Ava to be your lawfully wedded wife?"
"I DO" he spoke with a blank expression, his eyes betraying no emotion.

They found themselves once again on the couch, the weight of unspoken words hanging in the air.
"This is the first time in years I’m actually celebrating my birthday,"Ava said, her voice barely above a whisper. She glanced up at him, finding comfort in the warmth of his eyes.
Ava hesitated, the words heavy on her tongue. "I lost my family when I was just five. It was an accident." She swallowed hard as memories flooded back, "We were on our way to a picnic to celebrate my birthday. The brakes failed on the bridge, and the car went over. My brother saved me. He pulled me out, but then… he went back for our parents, but the car fell."
Ava’s breath hitched. "As he ran, he slipped. I tried to reach him, but I was too weak. I just watched him fall." Tears shimmered in her eyes, reflecting her pain.
"It’s my fault. If I hadn’t insisted on the picnic, they’d still be here. If I had held on tighter, my brother would be alive. This is all my fault," she said, her voice breaking.
He reached out, gently holding her hand. "Ava, this wasn’t your fault."
She turned away, the guilt suffocating her. "But I was there. I should have done more."
His grip tightened. "You were just a child. You did everything you could."
"This guilt feels unbearable—"
He squeezed her hand, grounding her in the moment."You’re not alone anymore. I’m here with you."
He rubbed her back soothingly, and after a few moments, she felt herself drifting into a light slumber, comforted by his presence.
Two hours later, Taehyung sat on the couch, wide awake, scrolling through his phone while Ava rested her head on his shoulder, still holding his hand.
She stirred a bit and blinked awake, surprised. "Oh no, did I fall asleep again?" she asked, a hint of embarrassment in her voice.
He nodded, a tender smile lighting up his face. "You looked so peaceful. I didn’t want to wake you."
She glanced at the clock, her eyes widening. "It’s so late! I’m so sorry for keeping you—"
"Hey, no need to apologize,” he said softly, squeezing her hand. “I’m happy to be here."
She bit her lip, contemplating. "Well, if it’s too late, you could stay. The couch isn’t bad, or… you could use my room if you prefer."
"I’ll sleep on the couch," he replied, still smiling. "So, feeling better now?” he asked, looking at her.
"Yeah, I guess" she said, returning his smile
They spent the next hour sharing snacks, laughter echoing through the small apartment. Ava showed him around, their hands brushing against each other, sending sparks of warmth between them.
As the night wore on, it was clear that their connection was deepening, turning an ordinary evening into something extraordinary.
They both sat on the couch again, when Ava suddenly exclaimed, "Oh wait, I have a cupcake!" She clapped her hands, her beautiful smile lighting up her face as she looked at him. "Yesterday, I bought groceries, and I got some cupcakes too!"
He chuckled, "There’s no point now, Ava. It’s already past midnight."
"But we can still eat!" she insisted, trying to get up. Taehyung gently pulled her back, but she shook her head, determined to rise.
"We just had snacks, Ava," he said, attempting to reason with her.
She wouldn’t take no for an answer and tried to get up again. As he pulled her back once more, they lost their balance and tumbled onto the couch, landing in a tangle of limbs.
They froze for a heartbeat, faces inches apart, the laughter fading into a charged silence. Ava’s breath caught as she looked into Taehyung’s eyes, a mix of surprise and something deeper swirling between them. He brushed a strand of hair from her face, their hearts racing.
In that suspended moment, he leaned in, and their lips met—a soft, hesitant kiss. she froze, a mixture of shock and uncertainty crossing her face, realizing what he'd done. He quickly pulled back, their eyes locking in a moment of shared confusion.
She gently pushed him away, her cheeks flushed. Without a word, she stood up, stepping back, leaving him on the couch, both grappling with the weight of what had just happened.
