After the incidents that had happened, the night I had with Angelus was the first peaceful moment I had this month.
I didn't even wake up in the middle of the night, sweating and panting like what I had endured the past few days.
I felt safe and serene within his arms.
We came together to Dra. Arlene's clinic after we had breakfast.
Dra. Arlene consulted me and prescribed new medicines for me.
I couldn't help but smile when I saw Angelus sitting on the bench outside of Dra. Arlene's office. He was sitting with his legs spread wide, leaning on his thighs, engrossed in his phone.
He lifted his eyes to me, tucking his phone into his pocket as he rose to his feet.
"How was it?"
"It went well." "She gave me a prescription so we can buy the medicines. Medyo natagalan lang dahil sa... consultation."
His jaw clenched as he nodded, and a smile graced his lips.
"How do you feel then? If you feel something unpleasant, just tell me."
He watched me chuckle in front of him. His blind eye didn't even make him less handsome.
"I feel better than ever, Angelus. Stop worrying about me." I grinned, really feeling better, and wrapped my arms around his waist.
As I rested my chin on his chest, I gazed up at him with a grin across my face. It struck me how incredibly caring he was, despite the occasional hint of insanity in his actions. His concern for me left me feeling conflicted, unsure of what emotions to embrace. However, deep down, I couldn't deny that a sense of bliss washed over me, knowing that he cared.
"Stop treating me like I'm some fragile porcelain; it's creepy," I teased.
Humalakhak siya dahilan ng pagtawa ko rin. My chuckles turned into a smile when he crouched to me and kissed my forehead softly. His hand caressed the side of my neck slowly.
"You want to be treated roughly, huh? Fine by me." He whispered and kissed my ear.
Shivers ran down my spine as I felt the heat of his soft lips against my skin.
