Viridian Delegation Fleet

Near the Pirate Empire of Marl's Coast

The sky was gray, gloomy, and wet in the early hours of the morning. By now the sun was in full effect but the ocean's blessing of sea water wouldn't evaporate so easily. An impressive flotilla charged forth through the waves determined to reach Marl within the hour. The 11 ship strong formation consisted of 3 cruisers, 8 destroyers, 1 missile boat, and 1 submarine in a streaking strike group formation. This fleet was a formation of unrivaled destructive power in the region and its destination would be the first to lay eyes on it and live.

"I gotta get some new platform boots. What'd you think, captain?" Tyrael shifted his boot to show it off to Captain Trinshaw. "All this traveling around is scuffing them up on like the side bit, see?"

"Not true sir, they can be fixed easily with some cleaning." responded Trinshaw.

"Yeah I suppose you're right, though even if I do I think I'll get black ones next time. Anyway, how long until we arrive?"

"We're about an hour out sir, though we do have a patrol ship approaching us. We should run into them in about 10 minutes."

"Good, have everyone assume ready positions. There shouldn't be any reason for us to come under attack but just be ready to blast them out of the water just in case."

Over on the sea, minutes away, a large patrol of 2 sloops and a frigate sailed along to intercept the visitors they recently spotted. The madar managed to pick up something strange but it couldn't confirm its size, only the number, 11. 11 fuzzy almost dots traveling in a weird pattern.

"How far are we from the target?" Lord Baltar marched down to the main deck of the ship.

"Very close my lord, they are now within visual range!" answered the man in the crows nest.

"Excelent, lets see what we're dealing with then." Lord Baltar brought up his zoom spyglass. " What the hell is this? Surely not! Send a request home for the description of the Viridian Empire ships!"

The crew quickly scrambled to contact home, putting the entire patrol on edge. As the crew quietly made preparations for a fight and to call for reinforcements. Seeing the commotion on the ship a man strolled over toward Lord Baltar

"My lord, what seems to be the issue?" The man asking the question was Baltar's aid Kando. "Is it the Parapaldians?"

"No, not this time my friend." Just then a messenger interrupted and handed Lord Baltar the description he asked for. "And with this I've confirmed the identity of what I hope are some new visitors."

"Who, and what do you mean 'hope'?"

"Surely you've heard the tales of the rising eastern empire. They call themselves the Viridian Empire and their ships are here." The seasoned Lord Baltar had an aura of worry around him. Kando remembered well the rumors that told of the destruction of the eastern barbarian kingdoms. Some told of absolute destruction while others of an unstoppable blitz both ending in total surrender. Marl wasn't some simple barbarian king no matter how Parapaldia classified them, but the few confirmed stories that he knew told of power even Marl hadn't seen before. As Kando pondered the scenarios that could come in the future as the 2 forces gradually met up on the waves of Tries Sea.

"Be on your guard and keep yourselves under control. These are dangerous people but we are a civilized nation, we will hold ourselves as such!" Lord Baltar prepared a team to meet with these strange and foreign visitors.

The large gray masses were definitely ships but they were like nothing the sailors of Marl had ever seen. Only Lord Baltor, who attended the last Conference of the Elite Eleven, wasn't completely awe struck with the sight. They bore similar angular features to the fleets of Mu and the Holy Mirishial Empire. Other than the general shape though the weaponry and make were very foreign and clearly of a high technological level. From a nation of survivalist and high sea criminals the people of Marl lacked the stereotypical arrogance of most other civilized nations. Having to brave some of the most treacherous seas and impossibly strong enemies to win their biggest scores. But those were the good times before Parapaldia came. Lord Baltar strutted up to the side of the ship and bellowed out a greeting.
