Conrad's POV

"Sir, there's an Alpha here wanting to see you" my second hand, Marcus said walking into my cabin. An alpha?

"Which pack?" I questioned, throwing him a pointed look.

"I...uh...Alph-"

"Me, son" I whipped my head towards the door, standing up in process. He is no more an alpha, but he is no other than my father, Jace. The moment I looked into his piercing eyes all the memories rushed back getting every cell in my body agitated.

"You can leave Marcus" I stated, gritting my teeth averting my gaze to the floor.

Once Marcus walked out there was an uncomfortable silence or was it just awkward to me? However, I finally spoke up.

"What are you doing here father? Why now after so many years?" I questioned, clenching my fists tight as I emphasized the term 'father'.

"Conrad... I just got here can we just wait two seconds before we start throwing fists at each other?" My father said with that smirk on his face. Only if he knew how much anger I felt right now. He offered me to live there with that brother or leave the pack. That father who abandoned me. That father who chose his younger son over his first child. The betrayal I felt years ago began to resurface.

"Cut the crap. What are you here for?" I spat, trying my best to keep my wolf in control.

Then as if it occurred to me. He is here for Shane - to protect him. "Oh, so now I get it. Alpha Jace," emphasizing the idiom 'alpha' I continued, "you are here to protect Shane right? That little bast-"

"Don't you forget I am still your father, Conrad. You will not use such language towards your brother."

"HE IS NO BROTHER OF MINE! HE STOLE MY MOM! I WILL KILL HIM AND YOU CAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT!" I could feel my wolf taking over, but his next words forced him to hold back.

"That's why I'm here Conrad. How I found you? That's not even a question! I have my ways and I'm not here to protect Shane. I am here to tell you that I know your plan Conrad and I can't let that happen. You can't use her as a bait against him. When you discover the truth after causing the damage, you won't be able to live with that guilt, son." He pleaded, I have never seen my dad ever entreat anyone before. It broke my heart, but as his words processed through my mind I got more worked up.

"STOP IT DAD! AFTER ALL THESE YEARS ITS ALL CHANGED. I WILL KILL HIM. SHE DIED BECAUSE OF-"

"SEE NOW THAT'S THE THING! HE DIDN'T CONRAD! SHANE DIDN'T! YOU DID!"

Evelyn's POV

After a good hour of playing and fooling around with Shane and I, Paise was fast asleep. When I look at her sleeping peacefully in Shane's arms and him staring at her so lovingly, I can't help but think of how he'll be with our pups one day.

"I can hear your thoughts babe" he mumbled, smirking at me. That jerk.

I felt my face heating up with embarrassment. I could tell I'll be red like a tomato.

I felt Shane's hand caressing my face with his thumb making me look into his piercing eyes. "I love it when you blush baby" here comes the 'baby' again.

"What's up with you and all these nick names?" I questioned, throwing him an oh-so-innocent look.

"Do you like it?" he looked away I couldn't help, but bite my bottom lip to hold back my laughter. Was the big bad alpha really nervous?

"Very" I said biting my lip seductively causing him to growl as he placed Paise gently on the bed. In matter of seconds, he was on my side hovering over me. He nuzzled his face into my neck taking in my scent. I couldn't help but wrap my arms around his neck bringing his face closer.

"Paise is sleeping" I whispered, I felt him shudder as my lips brushed against his ear.

"hmm we will be quite" he mumbled burying his face in my neck again. Electrifying sparks jolted through my body as he placed wet kisses over my collar bone, lightly sucking on it. I threw my head back as his lips made their way lower to my shoulder blade and his tongue flicked out to lick my mark making me hard to hold back a moan due to all the pleasure. My hands roamed all over his back as I kissed his jaw to his neck, leaving sweet love bites. I pulled his head back up to kiss his puffy lips. As he deepened the kiss, I couldn't help but groan with all the pleasure. In matter of seconds, he pulled back going back to sucking on my mark as his hands went further up in my shirt, leaving a trail of sparks. He continued to plant more seductive kisses down as he lifted up my shirt. He was about to unhook my bra when Paise stirred in her sleep making me freeze in shock.

"Shanee..." I whispered, trying to get his attention.

"hmm? Don't moan baby Paise is asleep" he mumbled as he continued to pepper more kisses making his way back up to my chest. I turned my head to look at Paise and I saw her rubbing her eyes.

She's about to wake up oh no! "Shane! Shane! She-"

"Stopp moaning babe I told you hold it in alright..?" I shuddered as I felt his canines gaze over my skin.

"Ewe-" That's it! With that I pushed him down the bed. He fell on the floor making a loud thud.

"What were wou guws doing?" she questioned, rubbing her eyes again.

I blushed hard before saying, "uh..we were um..."

"Wrestling princess" Shane interjected, rubbing his forehead glaring at me.

"oh" and then she was asleep again. Wow.
