"Carlos! Please, stop worrying, Millie will be fine!" Serenity tried to reassure her little brother, but her pleas for calmness fell on deaf ears.
"Stop worrying?! Nita! My twin sister is in there right now, giving birth to her first child and the potential heir or heiress to the Kingdoms Of Cyprus, Greece and Spain! But you dare tell me to calm down?!"
"I know, Carlos. But it's been two days, and we still haven't gotten word of if she's ready to start pushing the baby out or not."
"I know...But as her brother, I have every right to worry about my sister when she's-"
"AHHHH!!!!"
The room fell silent as Camille let out a horrifying banshee shriek that could make the walls bleed to death from how loud it was.
"G-Guess that means she's getting ready to push..."
"Could be..."
"I'll write a letter to Mary and inform her that Camille has gone into labour and is about to begin the pushing phase."
👑
Camille collapsed onto her soft, satiny pillows, panting like a weary dog after a long chase. The fatigue of two gruelling days in labour mulled laboriously on her, but a sense of victory warmed her heart. Despite the fatigue, she will finally fulfil her duty to Mary and the Spanish Kingdom-bringing forth a precious heir or heiress to carry on the union of the House Of Callis and the House Of Tudor.
She knew she had to commence pushing soon but on the other hand, she feared the possibility of losing her life in childbirth or risking having the poor child die inside her womb. Camille couldn't bear the thought of God calling her child back so soon...Especially not before it even took its first breath.
As the compactions tore through her aching body, Camille scrunched her eyes shut as she clutched her Mother's hand tightly. "Mama.....I-I-I don't know if I can do it.....I'm scared, and I'm exhausted....."
"Easy now, Mimi. You'll be alright." Émilie's tone was gentle and calm and she squeezed Camille's hand as sealed as she could muster. "You're doing so well, but now it's time for you to have this child. Take a deep breath and push as hard as you can."
Camille did as her Mother instructed and she began pushing with every single bit of strength she could get her body to muster.
