Vienna's POV
"Isn't he beautiful? Ryan" I mumbled out subconsciously while staring down at the picture in my hand, our baby's pictures from the scan.
"Um. Yeah" Ryan replied, failing to hide the hesitancy in his voice and I couldn't help but just shake my head at him, smiling, knowing that as of now we really couldn't make out anything from the picture, which is why he sounded a bit confused and hesitance.
"Why do you keep referring the baby as him? You know it could be a girl" He added, opening the door for me before getting in himself and instructing Micheal to head home.
"I don't know" I shrugged.
"I just have a really strong gut feeling that it's a boy, and though my happiness would just be the same even if it's a girl but I really wanna be a boy momma first" I added before tucking away the pictures safely in my handbag.
"Well then, if that baby is really a boy, then I can tell how you two are gonna be obsessed with eachother" He shook his head.
"Aw. Are you pouting?" I chuckled.
"He's gonna snatch away all your attention from me, isn't he?" He said after a moment of silence and my smile fell off realizing how serious he was about this.
"Hey. Ryan" Placing my index finger under his chin, I made him look at me.
"Why would you think that way? Baby" I asked, softly and he just shrugged in reply.
"Nobody in this world can drive me away from you" I said when I realized that I wasn't going to get any verbal answer from him.
"As cliché as it may sound, Ryan, but..." I paused, moving to sit on his lap and he instantly wrapped his arms around my waist, holding me close.
"But my world revolves around you...and it always will" I continued and that finally made his lips curve up into a genuine smile.
"I like the sound of it" He mumbled against my lips before pecking them.
"What would you prefer the gender of our baby to be? Ryan" I asked a moment later after we pulled apart, still sitting on his lap.
"Boy, girl, I'm good with either of them...but being honest, my happiness would be multiplied if it's a girl" He replied, his hands resting on the small of my back.
"You know how I've always wanted a girl" He added with a soft look in his eyes, which made me smile.
"You'll be a great father, Ryan"
"I'll try my best, love"
"But didn't you once say how you want at least three to four boys first before having a girl, so they can always be there to protect their baby sister, just like you're always there for your sisters" I reminded him a moment later, putting him into some deep thoughts.
"Yeah, I did say that, but now just thinking about how I would have to wait for at least three to four pregnancies and then finally have a girl, makes me change my mind" He replied and I almost gasped at the mention of three to four pregnancies.
Gosh! He did always say that he wants a big family and so did I, but I never really thought about the whole process that I would have to go through again and again to reach that goal.
"Anyways, so as I was saying back in the doctor's cabin..." Ryan paused, snapping me out of my thoughts and continued once he knew he had all of my attention.
"We're changing your gynecologist"
"What!?"
I can't believe he's still stuck on that.
