The sun had started to sink low, casting long golden rays through the windows of Jack's studio. Taylor stood by the soundboard, adjusting her headphones, fingers toying with the wire absentmindedly. Her mind was focused, yet there was a sense of ease that hadn't been there before. Quincy was seated off to the side where she had sat times before, with her attention divided between mails and, following Taylor's every movement, ready to offer support without hovering.

Jack leaned over the board, smiling as Taylor gave him a quick nod. His excitement was palpable, having watched Taylor pour herself into this new album with a renewed energy that had taken shape after weeks of hesitation. The hum of her latest melody filled the room as Jack sat at the soundboard, giving her a thumbs up. The space felt electric with creative energy, but it wasn't just the music-it was the subtle shift between her and Quincy, a rhythm all their own. Jack had also noticed the shift in their dynamic.

Jack frowned, noticing something felt off about the song, so he had her pause while he fiddled with some dials, nodding in satisfaction. "Try again, Tay."

Taylor nodded, adjusting her headset as she caught Quincy's eyes across the room. They shared a quiet smile, and the silent support from Quincy gave her a confidence she didn't know she needed.

Taylor began recording the next track, an upbeat, heartwarming piece that she'd been working on for weeks with Quincy stuck in her mind. The music flowed effortlessly, her voice wrapping itself around the lyrics like a warm embrace. Quincy couldn't help but let her mind wander back to their first date at the café, the moment Taylor's eyes lit up as she talked about her childhood memories. And when the final notes drifted into the silence of the studio, Quincy was the first to offer a gentle applause despite not having heard the entire song.

"You have a way with words..." Quincy shook her head, unable to find words to describe her awe, "turning life into poetry- it's amazing."

Taylor smiled at Quincy's words, her cheeks warming from the praise.

She walked over to her, "Thank you, sweetie," her fingers brushed the edge of Quincy's hairline before pulling her down down to place a soft kiss on her cheek. It was quick, fleeting, but the impact lingered. Quincy blinked, her heart skipping a beat, but her lips curved into an almost bashful smile.

Jack, who had been quietly observing the exchange, raised his eyebrows and shot Taylor a look, clearly trying to hold back a grin. He didn't say anything, but Taylor caught the look. He wasn't just excited about the music; he was thrilled to see her so content and... happy. The subtle celebration in his eyes was hard to miss, and Taylor knew what it meant. She rolled her eyes playfully but didn't comment, feeling the warmth of the moment lingering between her and Quincy.

"So, uh... you're more comfortable, huh?" Jack asked playfully.

Taylor rolled her eyes but couldn't hide her smile. Quincy, however, kept her cool, even though her pulse quickened. She adjusted her stance, clearing her throat softly.

Jack exchanged a glance with Taylor, who gave him a slight shrug, an unspoken admission that things had indeed shifted between her and Quincy. And though Taylor tried to play it off casually, Jack's grin only widened.

"About time," he muttered under his breath.

Taylor shot him a playful glare but quickly refocused. She slipped off her headphones, looking satisfied with the recording. "I think we got it."

"Definitely. You've outdone yourself as usual." He nodded proudly.

Quincy, still hovering near the edge of the room, chimed in again, her voice low but full of sincerity.
