Taylor

I wake up with a nudge from Lilly.

"I missed you," She says with a big smile.

"I missed you too." I say. I sit up and wrap her into a hug. She runs out of the room. I feel my pillow. It's a little damp.

I look in the mirror. My hair is messy, and tear streaks line my cheeks. I was crying last night. I get dressed, and put make-up on to cover up the tear streaks.

I sigh, and walk into the kitchen where everyone else is.

"Glad to have you back, Taylor." My older brother Daniel says.

"Thanks," I say in a still groggy voice.

"When are we starting school?" My younger sister, Alexis, says. She's one of the twins.

"We are starting next month." Mom says.

Alexis gets on her iPhone and starts texting someone. I never know who she's texting, all I know is that she's texting someone. Whenever Mom starts to talk to her about it, her face goes red, and she says it's one of her friends, and names one off. But, I can tell she's lying.

"Are there any classes any of you want to for sure take?" Mom says.

"I want to take French." Alexis says.

Daniel shakes his head.

"I kinda want to learn some Spanish." Andrew, the other twin, says.

"I want to learn ASL." I say.

Everyone turns to look at me.

"ASL?" Daniel repeats.

"Yeah, sign language." I say. They still stare. "Um. With the weird hand motions."

"Oh, I didn't know that was a language." Mom says.

"Yeah, it is. There's this curriculum that I've found. It's free."

"Oh, good." Mom says.

I eat my breakfast and go to my room. I'm not really sure what I'm going to do with my time without Cameron. But, I'll find something.

I make my bed, then put any make-up away. I stare at my book shelf. I don't own that many books, but I've read a lot more. I start to rearrange them all. Alphabetical order, color order, series order, publishing order, copy right order, and by genre. I sigh and grab my back-pack.

It's a fairly big back-pack. There's room for a laptop, and quite a few books. I grab my laptop and put it in there, and I grab my blue iPod Shuffle, and put it in the tinier part of the back-pack. I grab my wallet and put it in there too.

I walk into the kitchen.

"Mom, I'm going to the library, then I'm just going to eat somewhere for lunch."

She nods.

I put my back-pack on my shoulders, and grab my bike from the garage. I open the garage door, exit the garage, then close the garage door. I bike away from the house and onto the sidewalk towards the library.

My stomach growls at me. There's a McDonalds on the way to the library, so I stop there. I pull out my wallet before entering. I just get a happy meal. With 4 mcnuggets. Then I hurry to the library. When I get there I put my bike on the bike rack thing, and enter.

"Oh, Taylor," The old lady says. "I've been missing your company here."

"I've been missing coming here." I smile at her. She's the only thing I've got to a friend besides Cameron.

"Where have you been?"

"I've been at camp."

She smiles at me. I go into the teen section, and open up my laptop. I grab the next book in the series of The Maze Runner, The Scorch Trials.

I open up my email and read everything that I missed. Then I begin to read The Scorch Trials. I'm too distracted to read right now. I begin to play games on my laptop.

That doesn't help either. So instead I write on my blog.

Hey, sorry I haven't been on. I've been at camp, and you're in luck, I'm going to tell you all about it...

I go on saying how I met someone fantastically great named Cameron. And how I'll probably never see him again. Ever. Remember that brings tears to my eyes. If I can't go on with my regular life without thinking about Cameron, then there's something wrong with me.

I know I shouldn't, but I do. I text Cameron. He's the only one that can really make me laugh and cry at the same time. Both out of love.

Hey, Cameron. How are you?

Hey, Taylor. I'm good. HBU?

What's HBU? I search it up on Google. How 'Bout You. Oh. I respond to him a minute later.

I'm fairly good. What are you doing?

I'm reading The Maze Runner.

I laugh a little.

Seriously? I'm about to read The Scorch Trials.

I thought you said you didn't like reading at home.

I don't, that's why I'm at the library, but I might have to take it home. Just not feelin it today.

Oh. Okay. My mom wants me. So I have to leave. See ya later.

When's later? Is what I want to text him. When's later? When will I see him? My mind fills with questions.

Just not in the mood to read today. I put my laptop back in my back-pack, and take my library card out of my wallet. I give the lady the book and my card. She swipes the card and gives me the book. I put them away, and get on my bike and bike away back home.

Lily stands at the door waiting for me.
