Cameron
I wake up two weeks later to an unknown text message.
Cameron, it's been a while.
I'm pretty tired and my head is spinning. I shouldn't reply. But, I do anyways.
Is this Taylor?
It was probably just Aubrey messing with me, but I wanted it to be Taylor.
No. Cameron, I would like to meet with you today. How about 1:30 at McDonalds?
Maybe Taylor just wants to meet with me only not tell me it's her.
Okay.
At 1:30 I walk out the door. I ride my bike over there.
When I walk in I don't order anything. I scan all the tables for Taylor. She's not here. Maybe she's late.
I sit down at a table and start playing a game on my phone.
3 minutes later a man, maybe 2 years older than Mom, comes to my table.
"Are you Cameron?" He says in a deep voice.
"Yes..." I say tentatively.
The man takes a seat. His eyes are the same color as mine: not green and not blue, but in-between that.
"Do I know you?" I ask.
"You did. At one point." I recognize his voice. "Can you guess who I am?"
I stare at him.
He has the same type of nose as I do; the same eyes; the same mouth.
He smiles for me. That's when realization hits.
"You're my father."
