Love at Camp Sight

Part 18

Taylor

Cameron's mom comes over to the table we're at at greets me.

"Hi, I'm Anne. You must be Taylor, I've heard a lot about you." She says.

"Hi, Anne. Yes, I'm Taylor." I say. I don't know how to respond. I think that's what you're supposed to say.

Anne walks away. 

"This is Aubrey, new little sister. She's 15." Cameron says. 

"Hi." Aubrey says. "I'm Aubrey as you know now. How old are you? What's your name? I like your dress, where'd you get it? I can't believe you're wearing converse with a dress. I would never be able to pull that off. But, you seem to make it work. What school do you go to? Cameron's homeschooled. How'd you two meet if Cam's homeschooled? Are you homeschooled? Are you two actually dating?"

"Brey, chill girl." Cameron says. He turns to face me. "Sorry, she talks a lot." 

I just smile at Aubrey. "It's fine." I say. I don't even know what she said.

"Oh, Cam, this is my boyfriend, Mason. Mason this is my new brother Cameron." She says. 

So Mason and Cameron haven't met either.

I notice people getting on the dance floor. Cameron and I step out onto it. We start dancing. Then a slow song comes on. He puts his hand on my waist. I put mine on his shoulder. We're just copying what everyone else is doing. 

We're dancing in a circle. Aubrey and Mason are doing the same.

"I missed you so much." I say.

"I missed you so much, too." Cameron says. 

The song is coming to an end when Cameron kisses me.

We go back to the table, when my phone starts to ring. 

"It's my dad, I have to take this." I say to Cameron. He nods, and we go out into the hallway. 

"I'll just be walking around." Cameron says.

He walks away, and I pick up the phone. "Hello?" I say. 

"Taylor, where are you?" Dad says.

"I told you I'm at a friends house. I'm sleeping over here." I say.
