── Sino Dito, Sino Dyan?

Pagpasok ko pa lang sa classroom, tahimik na agad ang lahat. Nakaupo na si Miss Aurora sa harapan, hawak ang attendance sheet at abala sa pagcheck ng mga papel sa lamesa niya na mukhang importante. Agad naman akong umupo sa tabi ni Audrey na sumesenyas na maupo na rin ako.

Ma'am, present po ako!

"Alright, before we proceed, i'll check your attendance first" sabi niya habang binabasa ang mga pangalan. Isa isa niyang tinawag ang bawat estudyante at sumasagot naman kami ng "Present!" pag naririnig ang pangalan namin. Nang matapos na ang attendance, inilapag na ni Miss Aurora ang mga papel niya sa teacher's desk at tiningnan kaming lahat. "I have an important announcement to make."

Nagkatinginan kami ng mga kaklase ko, nag aabang sa susunod niyang sasabihin.

Uwian na?

"As you all know, we're having elections for the new student council officers for junior high level. I hope you all take this seriously, especially since the Student Council plays a vital role in maintaining the order and spirit of our school"

Narinig ko namang nagbuntong hininga sila Audrey at Gizelle. Narinig ko rin ang sinabi ni Ashtrid na "Eleksyon nanaman"

"We have several positions available, President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Historian, Reporter, Student Welfare Committee, Activities Committee, Peace Officer, and Year Level Representative." Dagdag ni Miss "Sino sainyo ang gustong sumali o ipagpatuloy ang serbisyo nila sa school?"

Ilang minutong tahimik ang lahat pagtapos magsalita ni Miss. Nilingon ko naman ang iba na mukhang umiiwas ng tingin sa harap.

Well, malaking responsibilidad ang pagiging part ng Student Council. Hindi 'yan for clout lang.

Agad na nagtaas ng kamay si Audrey. "Miss, i would like to volunteer as the School Secretary."

"Sure but i won't include your name sa mga pagbobotohan dahil ilang years ka namang secretary sa school" Sabi ni Miss Aurora at ngumiti ito. "Anyone else?"

Buti pa 'to si Audrey, secured ang position sa Student Council. By observing her naman kasi, mukhang masipag kahit makulit.

"I'll volunteer as Student Body President" sabi ni Ashtrid, may halong kumpiyansa sa boses niya.

Kasunod agad si Sly. "I'm also volunteering as School President."

Agad na tumingin ng masama si Ashtrid kay Sly. "Sarabia!" Sigaw nito.

"What? I want to participate." Sabay nag wink ito kay Ashtrid na mukhang may ibig sabihin ito. Na gets naman 'to ni Ashtrid.

Nagtaas ng kamay ang isa naming kaklase na si Aira. "I'll take the Vice President role, Miss." Nagpatuloy si Miss Aurora sa paglista. "Good. Now, how about for Student Historian?"

Agad na nagtaas ng kamay si Miguel. "Miss, I've been the Historian since Grade 7. I'd like to continue."

Ngumiti si Miss Aurora. "Of course, Mr. Kashiwagi. I'll put you down for Historian. Hindi ko na rin isasama ang pangalan mo for voting." Tumango nalang din ito.

"By the way, I also want to inform you that there are other volunteers from other section" dagdag ni Miss Aurora, pinupukaw ang atensyon ng lahat. "So far, sa Section 5 palang ako nakakuha ng information. Mr Von Yuchengco wants to run as School President as well, and Ms Roxanne Tiongson volunteered for Vice President."

Go Roxy! Patumbahin mo 'to mga kalaban mo!

Ipakita mo kung sino ka!

"As expected from Von. He wants to take the spotlight. He wants to control the school" Pagtataray ni Ashtrid "Pero kay Roxy? Damn, unexpected. She's the Student Welfare Committee for like... 2 years, and now she wants higher position?"
