Light Unbridled- Chapter 79: The Third Eye

*The scene opens with Mother standing over Bryce as he tries to stand up. Mother leans down and reaches a hand out towards him.*

Bryce: Mother? What is this place?

*Bryce grabs Mother's hand and is pulled up to his feet as Mother continues to explain the situation.*

Mother: This is the Third Eye. A safe haven for stand users. You and your friends were brought here for your safety.

Bryce: Our safety? From the people who have been after us?

Mother: Yes, my child. We have watched as they have pursued you. Finally, we have managed to bring you here.

*Andrew groans and slowly stands up before looking over at Bryce and Mother.*

Andrew: Who is that, Bryce? Where are we?

*Mother looks over at Andrew and then down at the others who are still not fully awake.*

Mother: Perhaps I should wait until everyone is awake before I explain things.

*Minutes pass by as Hayden, Isaiah and Ozzy all regain consciousness, each more confused than the last.*

Mother: There we go. Gather around my children and I'll explain everything to you all.

*The group hesitate to approach Mother but see no other option in their current situation.*

Mother: I'm sure all of you are confused, and maybe even scared. But I'm here to assure you, you are safe now. The people who have been relentlessly pursuing you won't be able to find you here.

Isaiah: How can you be so sure? They've been able to find us everywhere.

Ozzy: And why can't we remember how we got here? It's hard to trust you when I don't even know how you brought me here.

*Mother holds up her hand affirmatively as she explains herself.*

Mother: That is why they won't be able to find you. We have someone on the inside that gives us information about the people who have been pursuing you.

Andrew: Okay? How does that prevent them from being able to find us?

Mother: Let me finish, my child. Someone in that group has a Stand Ability that can see through your eyes and memories to see exactly where you are.

*Mother holds her hands out and spins around to display the room they're in.*

Mother: As you can see, this room has no defining features, and your memories of how you made it here were removed. So that person will never be able to figure out where you are.

Hayden: You said this was a safe haven for stand users? Where is everyone else?

Mother: They are in the social quarter. If you wish to go meet the other members of our group you can. I can give you the tour personally.

*Mother's eyes roll into the back of her head as she enters a questioning state. The others turn to Hayden surprised by his distrust.*

Bryce: What the hell?

Hayden: What? I'm not taking any chances.

*Hayden approaches Mother and begins to question her.*

Hayden: Are you trying to protect us?

Mother: Yes.

Hayden: Do you plan on harming us in any way?

Mother: No.

Hayden: Will we really be safe in this place with you?

Mother: Yes.

*Hayden senses a strange presence behind him and can see something standing behind him in the very corner of his eye.*
