The birth country of the empress was a beautiful country, that made one look at it with both envy and hatred, the king had intelligence that was beyond measure and made sure that everyone was well fed, safe and healthy, ever since he ascended the throne some forty years ago.
He was supposed to have abdicated the throne five years ago, but Aria had long been married, Anita was a menace who loved travelling and indulging in her money. She simply didn't want the crown after Aria had been wed, but time caught on to her and she's now the sitting crown princess of Allira.
The queen on the other hand was a meticulous mother to both her children and the nation, she made her mission to ensure that nobody was hungry or lacking in any manner. She was philanthropist at heart, she donated a lot of her royal allowance to the building of schools, hospitals and clinics. With her money she still maintains these infrastructures, and keeps the livelihood of those employed there; going.
"Paul, when did Aria say they were coming?" The Queen asked as she looked up from her computer screen. She was currently in the king's study.
"He said in three days time. They'll be here, with the emperor and his family." The king stated as he looked through multiple files he was holding. These were flyers of tombstones designs from different funeral homes.
Although it was Aria's choice what he wanted to do, Paul didn't think it harm to at least put in an effort towards the funeral. Sure, they had people who would do these things, but it brought them a sense of closeness and reality to be doing these small things for their family.
Just as the King was about to comment something, the duo in the study heard a yell coming from outside.
"Mom! Dad!"
The Queen looked up to her husband and the King just rolled his eyes, making the queen smile.
Through the doors came Anita, as she flung the door open, for a twenty five year old she was a menace sometimes.
"What is it Nita?" The queen asked her daughter.
"When was I going to be told that Aria is coming. With the whole royal family of his bastard husband even?!" Anita roared.
"First of all, calm down."
Anita glared at her mother, the queen just shrugged and looked back to her husband.
"They're your in-laws, be polite will you. You're the crown princess, behave accordingly." King Paul stated, even though he didn't like Tyler, a decision he had come to regret when Eunuch Ress first reported of the empress being neglected and abused by the emperor. He then realized his mistake, he had sent his little boy in to the lion's den.
"You don't like them either!" Anita whined.
"Not actually, I just don't like the man my son married. His parents and siblings are okay, save for that unfaithful father of his." King Paul.
"Darling! They have a different culture, I don't think it's infidelity in their culture." Queen Margarette stated.
"I don't think the Queen Empress would agree with you. The royal lady is in frequent distaste of the Grand emperor's bastard children, even shipped them off from the capital to have the current emperor sit on the throne." King Paul retorted to his wife with a snort.
"Oh may, that's quite disgraceful of her grand majesty. To sit such an incompetent ruler on the throne, I'm sure at one point she questioned her decision and was quite in distaste." The queen stated.
"A king and queen gossiping like the court ladies, have you two no shame?" Anita asked her parents, surprised that the two of them were gossiping in front of her about their in-laws.
