Ki and Lisa arrived at the lake house, where he had planned a full schedule for the next two days.

Getting to know her had given him a deeper understanding of what he sought in a wife. She was humorous, kind, and a profound thinker. Her intellect complemented his, and they shared much in common.

"We're here," Ki said, glancing over at her. She took in the beauty of the property, the house, and the equally stunning lake. "Let's go in!" Ki exclaimed, getting out to open her door.

He noticed her politeness even as she entered and exited the car. Her silhouette was beautiful, from her flowing hair to her legs. He felt a physical connection to her.

He carried the bags and placed them in her room as she awaited the landing. As the sun set, he thought it would be pleasant to light a fire in the pit and prepare some food. Standing behind her, he gazed out of the French doors overlooking the lake.

"Hey, why don't you go get some rest, and I'll wake you for dinner?" Ki suggested as she turned around, elated to have joined the trip. She approached him, expressing gratitude for the invitation, and he guided her to her room.

Her room was on the second floor, while he was on the first. Every angle of the room was beautifully crafted.

"Thank you, see you in a bit!" Lisa said smiling.

"If you need anything, just yell for me..." Ki said as he returned to his room.

He took a deep breath and realized he was a goner; she was the one.

Feeling the need to break weeks of silence, he wanted to speak with his father. Myung appeared to be losing control, and he was worried about her mental well-being. He also hoped to discuss the situation with Lisa.

He settled onto his bed, phone in hand, gazing through the sliding doors of his bedroom. Taking a deep breath, he dialed his father's number.

"Hello!" a very guarded voice said...

"Dad, how are you?" Ki asked

"I'm well, so to what do I owe the pleasure of this call?" his father asked, not letting his emotions about his son overwhelm the conversation.

"It's Myung. I don't think she's doing well mentally. I received a call from her today, and she seemed all over the place. Has everyone understood my stance on this marriage?" Ki asked, infuriating his father once again.

"Do you understand why she might be emotional right now? You hurt her and caused issues between our families. I paid to annul the marriage contract. Do you understand how that makes me feel and look?" Chairman Beom expressed.

"I am sorry, but ever since I graduated from college, you have already arranged a marriage with Myung. It was a business deal for you and her father, but it's my life," Ki said, reiterating the situation.

"She was fine when I saw her today. If you're concerned, you should call her," Chairman Beom replied.

"Okay, I'll be back in a few days, so we can sit down and talk. How's mom?" he asked.

"She's fine; she's visiting family but is still a bit upset with me," Chairman Beom said.

"Well, I have some things to take care of. I'll stop by when I return," Ki said, still puzzled about Myung.

Hearing the delivery truck Ki went out to receive the dinner order,  Meanwhile, Lisa was taking a shower, something he needed to do as well. He quickly put Myung out of his mind for the moment.

He began preparing dinner and place it in the fridge. Then, he went to ignite the grill on the landing before heading to take a shower.
