Myung went to visit Ki's mother, as she wanted to see them and inquire if Ki was still unwilling to marry her.

She waited for Mrs. Beom to come down, her thoughts rampant with anticipation of what Detective Kim might have discovered about Lisa Sebong.

As Mrs. Beom entered the room, Myung stood up. She bowed and greeted her, and Mrs. Beom acknowledged her presence, inviting her to sit. "What brings you here, dear? Ki isn't here," Mrs. Beom stated.

"He refuses to call or acknowledge my messages. I am concerned and thought I would come by to see how you and Chairman Beom are coping with all of this" she said eagerly waiting for an answer.

"Dear, we are doing fine. We know this has not been easy for you. So, how are you holding up?" Mrs. Beom asked Myung. Clenching her fist and forcing a grin, she said, "He has truly hurt me so... I still want to be his wife, and I don't know what to do about it."

Mrs. Beom took her hand, smiled, and said, "Some things are just not meant to be. Ki has decided to choose his own path. I have accepted it because I want his happiness. His father, on the other hand, wants otherwise. I don't think Chairman Beom understands any of this; all he knows is that Ki has a responsibility to this family as the heir."

The statement was all Lis wanted to hear; she knew that Ki would be compelled to come back and marry her. She smiled at that very fact "Dear you will need to move on with your life, the one person that is mean for you will find you." Mrs. Beom said as Lisa realized it was not her word that Ki would not marry her but his father

"Well I must be going, Could you please ask Ki to at least acknowledge my messages?" She stood up, and both of them walked to the foyer, they said their goodbyes. Lisa was unaware that Ki was no longer at home, that he had moved to a new place and was embarking on launching his company.

She got into her car, only to be interrupted by her phone ringing; it was Detective Kim with his first report.

"Hello, Detective Kim, any updates?" she inquired.

"I'm sending you my report right now. Please review the information; I think I've discovered who Lisa Sebong is." Lisa waited for the file to appear on her phone, then instructed the driver to take her home.

Lisa Sebong Ryu was born in the United Kingdom to an African American mother, Jennifer Patrice Sebong, and a Korean father, In Su Sebong. The name seemed familiar to her, and upon further investigation, she discovered that the Sebongs are a wealthy Korean family with a longstanding heritage in the silk business. She waited until she was home to complete the report, her mind fueled by anger, shaking at the implications. She knew she needed to think clearly.

Ki received a phone call from his assistant. "Sir, she has agreed to perform at the event. Any further instructions?"

"No, I will send you the details of where and what is needed later. Thank you," Ki replied, pleased with Lisa's acceptance.

"Will she even remember me? Those three months were spent in an arts seminar. We shared stories and talked about music," he thought, as memories of her flooded his mind all at once.
