The night was steeped in sorrow as Ki gambled his future on an uncertain love. As the night turned into a chapter of history, the morning arrived.

Ki's father had to manage the aftermath; he summoned Chairman Eun to discuss the predicament. Chairman Eun, equally anxious, departed early, having lost sleep over the issue.

Ki, too, was awake at dawn, having received numerous messages from Myung. She was incensed by the way he had humiliated her before a crowd. Her fury was palpable, and she demanded answers from Ki.

Her love for him was possessive, and she was not ready to let go, especially since he was the wealthiest heir in South Korea, from a distinguished family.

Myung summoned her mother, who was always at her beck and call. "What is it, My?" her mother inquired.

"Has father left yet?" Myung asked while applying her makeup. "Yes, he's gone to handle the unfortunate situation. My, why do you think Ki called off the engagement? Is there something you haven't told us?" her mother questioned.

"I'm sure it was related to that trip and the photo in Arts of him with that woman. He mentioned they met at the symphony, and he requested a photo to commemorate the evening she performed." Myung's suspicious mind began to race, and the troubling thought that perhaps she was mistaken crossed her mind.

"Can I see that photo?" her mother asked, weary of the situation as Myung fetched her phone.

Handing over the phone, the image defied expectations. "This cannot be; she is not one of us, she is a foreigner," Myung's mother dismissed quickly.

"Whatever it is, I'll find out. He's supposed to meet me for lunch... Ki doesn't understand that he can't just walk out of my life and expect me to accept it," Mi stated, finishing her hair.

"Don't sell yourself short. If he's meant for you, he'll realize it... Your father wouldn't want to see you unhappy," her mother advised before leaving the room.

The mood was solemn as Chairman Eun and Chairman Beom met in the conference room of The Beom Group. the greeting was cordial and cautious. It was just them two.

"I must acknowledge, your son certainly has a knack for disrupting events... Myung was understandably upset last night, feeling that he had brought embarrassment upon both the family and the situation. "So, what's our plan of action? The contract is signed, and we're only two months away from the wedding," Chairman Eun declared, indicating that the contract was non-negotiable and that compensation for his daughter's embarrassment, among other things, would be necessary.

Chairman Beom's voice was fueled with fury that his son had even put him in this situation.
