Chapter 31

Lingling tugged her shirt off over her head, leaving herself in nothing but her underwear and a bra. Her toned body was illuminated by the soft pool lights, making Orm's heart race even more.

Her jaw dropped as she shook her head in disbelief. "You've completely lost your damn mind, Kwong! If you think I'm getting into that pool, you're insane!"

One thing about Attorney Kornnaphat: she doesn't know how to swim nor likes the water. 

Lingling learned this tidbit on her very first day as an intern, when Kornnaphat casually dropped the fact during introductions. It wasn't part of the conversation at all—just one of those random personal details she shared with her usual confidence.

She smiled, a teasing glint in her eyes as she stepped closer. "This date is about stealing your firsts, Princess," she said with a smirk, her voice low and playful. "So, you better get your cute little ass over here."

Orm instinctively took a step back, panic setting in. Her hands went up defensively. "You're not serious, Ling. Stop joking!"

Lingling chuckled, taking another step forward. "Oh, I'm dead serious," she said, her voice dripping with mischief. "Is that how it's going to be? I'm chasing after you now?"

She nodded, backing away even further. Her eyes darted around for an escape route. "Yep. And good luck catching me!"

The chase began. 

Orm bolted to the other side of the patio, Lingling laughing as she darted after her.

"Kornnaphat!" she called out, amusement lacing her voice. "You're just making this more fun for me!"

"Fun for you!" Orm yelled back, her voice half-panicked, half-laughing as the other woman was having hard time keeping up with her, "I'm not getting in that pool, Kwong! I'm not joking!"

Finally, with a burst of speed, Lingling caught up to her, wrapping her arms firmly around Orm's waist. 

Orm let out a yelp as Lingling tackled her gently to the ground, the both of them collapsing onto the soft grass with a thud.
