Orm sat at her desk, flipping through a stack of papers with a lazy rhythm. Her morning coffee sat untouched, the steam curling in the sunlight streaming through the window.
She leaned back in her chair, propping her feet up, already half-bored with the monotony of the day.
How long will it take for her to storm in and cause a scene?
Orm wondered, a sly smirk playing on her lips. Bet it'll be dramatic. Maybe even involve throwing something this time.....Me on that couch will be it, Me on the wall, Me on this desk-
I wouldn't mind as long as it involves me.
Her daydream was interrupted by the sound of the door swinging open. Suzy stepped in, her smile as bright as the morning sun. "Morning, beautiful," she chirped, walking toward the desk.
Orm raised an eyebrow at the unusual cheeriness. "Morning, Suzy. What's with the energy?"
Ignoring her question, Suzy reached into her pocket and pulled out a USB flash drive. She placed it on Orm's desk with a flourish.
"Miss Kwong told me to give you this," Suzy said with an air of importance.
Orm's brow furrowed as she picked up the small device, turning it over in her fingers. "Lingling?" she asked, her voice laced with surprise.
"Yes," Suzy replied, folding her arms. "She needs a report on the number of crimes that could be considered from the evidence, along with the legal consequences and punishments. She said it's for an official statement to the police."
Orm's lips twitched in amusement. Oooh now she's giving me attention? Even if it's just to assign some boring task... interesting.
"Sure," Orm said nonchalantly, leaning back in her chair. "I'll see if I can squeeze it into my oh-so-busy schedule."
