The night had settled into a quiet lull as Anuj and GK kaka prepared to leave the Shah house after an eventful evening. The echoes of laughter and the warmth of family celebration still lingered in the air. As Anuj stepped out the door, he turned back one last time, taking in the faces of everyone who had made this Janmashtami and his birthday special. His heart was heavy with unspoken emotions, memories of the past, and the sense of belonging he hadn't felt in years.

Anupamaa and Samar walked up to him, their faces full of gratitude. Samar, who had been through the most life-threatening ordeal, spoke first, his voice filled with the kind of sincerity that only came after facing something terrifying.

Samar (earnestly):
"Sir, agar aap nahi hote, toh main aaj yahaan khada nahi hota. Aapne apni parwah kiye bina meri jaan bachai. Main hamesha aapka shukriya ada karta rahunga."

Anupamaa's eyes were still moist from the overwhelming emotions she had felt since Samar's near accident. She folded her hands in front of Anuj, her face reflecting the gratitude only a mother could show.

Anupamaa (with tears in her eyes):
"Anuj ji, jo aapne Samar ke liye kiya, uska main kabhi shukriya nahi ada kar paungi. Aapne meri duniya bachai hai. Ek maa ke liye uske bachche ki jaan se badhkar kuch nahi hota."

Anuj's heart swelled with emotions he couldn't quite express. He smiled softly, shaking his head as if to brush off the enormity of what they'd just said.

Anuj (humble but warm):
"Bas itna samajh lijiye ki us waqt main wahan hona zaroori tha. Yeh sab Kanhaji ki marzi thi."

But what Anuj didn't say aloud was how important this day had been for him. It wasn't just about saving Samar's life—it was about being in Anupamaa's presence again after so many years, spending his birthday with her and her family, and experiencing a moment he had never dared to dream of. His one-sided love, which had remained buried for 26 years, had come alive today, and for a fleeting moment, he had felt like a part of her world.

Anupamaa wasn't ready to let him leave just yet. She quickly disappeared into the kitchen, returning with a box filled with the leftover Halwa cake she had made for his birthday.

Anupamaa (insistent):
"Yeh aapke liye hai. Halwa cake subah ka nashta ban jayega. Mera banaya hua hai, aapko wapas aana padega agar accha na lage toh."

Anuj laughed, appreciating her lightheartedness.

Anuj (smiling):
"Mujhe pura yakeen hai ki subah tak yeh khatam ho jayega."

But as Anupamaa packed the Halwa cake into a box, something strange happened. Her hand hesitated when she reached for the usual container from the cabinet. It felt... wrong. Inexplicably wrong. She paused for a moment, unsure of what was happening, before her hand instinctively withdrew from the box. Her heart felt a strange pull, like something was guiding her elsewhere.

She bent down to dig deeper into the cabinet, her fingers grazing the edges of a familiar object. Pulling it out, she stared at the old, nearly forgotten steel box in her hands. It was the only box in the house with her name engraved on it—"Anupamaa"—while every other container bore Leela Shah's name. She hadn't used this box in years, but now, for reasons she couldn't explain, she knew this was the right one.

Filling the box with Halwa, she looked up, whispering a prayer to Kanhaji.

Anupamaa (whispering to herself):
"Kanhaji, yeh kya ho raha hai? Kyun mujhe yeh dibba uthana pada? Reunion mein Anuj ko dekh kar jo ajeeb si feeling thi, woh ab wapis Samar ke saath unse milne par kyun badh gayi? Unka bachcha jab phone par baat kar raha tha, toh dil mein ek ajeeb sa ehsaas kyun hua, jaise us bachche ko main pehle se jaanti hoon? Aapko pata hai na Kanhaji, yeh sab kuch samajhne se pehle, aap dhyaan rakhna."
