Anupamaa sat in the car, her gaze fixed out the window but her mind far away, replaying her mother's words urging her to let love find a place in her life. Every reminder echoed with more warmth and encouragement, almost as if her mother’s voice was right beside her, gently guiding her heart toward the possibility of love again. Across from her, Anuj observed her with a quiet smile, sensing the gentle shift in her mood. Meanwhile, Anurag, noticing Anuj's expression and Anupamaa's lost look, felt a wave of satisfaction wash over him—his plan was unfolding exactly as he had hoped. Without hesitation, he pulled out his phone, quickly typing a message to Samar.
"There’s progress," he wrote, grinning to himself. "Congratulations, buddy, looks like our little push is working."
As the message was sent, Anurag leaned back with a sense of pride, content to sit back and watch the seeds of possibility begin to blossom in Anupamaa’s life.
As the trio arrived at the office, excitement mingled with a sense of purpose in the air. Just as they were about to step into Anuj’s cabin, Anurag stopped them, his eyes reflecting both mischief and reverence. He took a deep breath, a nostalgic smile forming on his lips, before he turned to face Anuj and Anupamaa.
Anurag: "Mere life ke do sabse pyaare log aaj mere saath hain… aur Mummy ke saath office mein pehli baar aaya hoon. Aur 3 saal ke baad, I’m ready to start afresh. So, Durga Suktam gaane ke baad hi hum andar chalenge…”
He closed his eyes, took a steady breath, and began chanting softly. His voice held a quiet power, each verse invoking a divine energy that filled the air around them:
" ōm ॥ jā̠tavē̍dasē sunavāma̠ sōma̍ marātīya̠tō nida̍hāti̠ vēda̍ḥ । sa na̍ḥ par-ṣa̠dati̍ du̠rgāṇi̠ viśvā̍ nā̠vēva̠ sindhu̍-nduri̠tā-'tya̠gniḥ ॥
tāma̠gniva̍rṇā̠-ntapa̍sā jvala̠ntīṃ vai̍rōcha̠nī-ṅka̍rmapha̠lēṣu̠ juṣṭā̎m । du̠rgā-ndē̠vīgṃ śara̍ṇama̠ha-mprapa̍dyē su̠tara̍si tarasē̠ nama̍ḥ ॥"
With each verse, his voice grew steadier, wrapping the three of them in a warm embrace of protection and hope. Anuj and Anupamaa watched him, both deeply moved by his heartfelt gesture. They could sense the sincerity in Anurag’s voice, the unspoken hope he held in his heart for both of them. The air was thick with unspoken blessings, as if Anurag had brought them under the divine protection of the Goddess herself.
After finishing the chant, Anurag’s eyes glistened with a childlike reverence. He bent down, touching both Anuj and Anupamaa’s feet, seeking their blessings with the innocence and respect that only someone who saw them as his family could offer. Anuj, a bit taken aback yet deeply touched, placed a comforting hand on Anurag’s shoulder, while Anupamaa’s eyes softened with pride, a motherly affection evident in her gaze.
And in that moment, Anurag couldn’t help but smile to himself, holding a cheeky thought close to his heart: to him, Anuj and Anupamaa were already married, bound together by a love he could clearly see even if they couldn’t quite yet.
Anargya had also arrived, full of energy and purpose, ready to set her “Master Plan”—now famously dubbed #MissionOfficeAloneTime (MOAT)—into action. She greeted everyone warmly, her eyes subtly hinting at Anurag, who seemed slightly oblivious to her intentions. Without missing a beat, she turned to him with a casual but strategic question.
Anargya: "Raag, tum yeh cabin mein kaam karne wale ho? But isn’t your cabin right over there?" She gestured toward a spotless space nearby. "I made sure Ramu Bhaiyya had it cleaned this morning. Remember? You told me you wanted a separate cabin to start fresh, so… this one’s all set for you. #MOAT…" She added the hashtag under her breath, her eyes meeting his with a playful smirk, hoping he’d catch on to her plan.
