When Mia Grey moves to the small town of Forks, Washington, she doesn't expect the ghost of her past to haunt her. Let alone come in the shape of Edward Cullen, the man that resembles the late Hufflepuff, Cedric Diggory.

Floorboards creak at late hours of the night.
Mia has been struggling to fall asleep and the unsettling noises aren't making it any better. She lays in bed watching the same corner the shadow man once stood in, and even if she's now aware of his identity, it's unfathomable not worrying he might return.
Ever since that night at Port Angeles, she constantly keeps an eye out and prepares herself for her father's visit, but he never makes an appearance. It's as if he's purposely disappeared to make her believe she's safe so she would let her guard down. Knowing how sly he can be, it would make perfect sense to attack when she least expects it.
Only cowards do so, but cowards tend to have a success streak. Just look at Peter Pettigrew and how willing he had been to betray his friends. It took courage from his part, but his cowardice kept him hidden as a rat for years. So really, how brave was he?
Sighing heavily, Mia adjusts her position and stares at the ceiling. She begins counting down from one hundred and closes her eyes, hoping the method allows her to acquire a moment of rest. A few hours at best. She makes herself comfortable under the sheets and just when she's close to falling asleep, the floorboards start creaking again.
However, there's something different this time.
Her bedroom door slowly opens, its sound resembling nails scratching on a chalkboard and the screams of the mandrakes. She glances in its direction and finds the dark hallway watching her. As if the action would protect her, she clings onto the sheets and buries herself deeper into them, but not even a second into searching for comfort, she sees a figure walking past the hall.
A strange sensation is felt and it's one she knows very well. It's the same one she felt when she was six years old and the same feeling she gets when being around him – Dimitri Grey.
When she glances out into the hallway, there's nothing out of the ordinary. The picture frames, decorative vases, the lamps, and the few figurines are intact. Nothing different. Nothing unnerving.
Mia scolds herself for believing the worst and heads back to her room, but in that same corner, a dark silhouette is standing. Gasping, she takes a couple steps back and bumps against the wall. Sure enough, Dimitri emerges from the shadows and glares at her through his abominable eyes.
His hair, darker than the night, is barely visible, but his stare tells a different story. The paleness of his skin makes him appear like a ghostly apparition, allowing his sinister smile to peek from the darkness.
Before Mia can say anything, Dimitri walks past her without batting an eye. His cold presence brushes against her and despite being an apparition, his footsteps are louder than anything she's ever heard.
When sensing her absence, he glances past his shoulder, "Come on, darling. There's something I must show you."
There's nothing reasonable in following him. All the signs are proving that this is another hallucination or maybe a nightmare. Maybe she fell asleep and this is her way of resting. "No, I'm not going anywhere with you. I know you're not real and this is just a dream."
