After the wedding, Taehyung returned to the office for the first time, but things felt different now. The moment he stepped into Jeon Corp, he was greeted with the usual hustle and bustle of the workplace. However, despite the familiar environment, his thoughts kept drifting back to Jungkook. He missed his beautiful, shy husband terribly.

Throughout the day, Taehyung was in a serious mood, more focused and intense than usual. His colleagues and subordinates noticed the shift in his demeanor. He was professional, meticulous, and sharp as always, but there was a subtle tension in the air-a longing behind his calm exterior that no one could quite place.

As Taehyung sat at his desk, reviewing documents and attending meetings, his mind wandered to Jungkook. He thought about the way Jungkook had smiled at him that morning before he left for work, the warmth in his eyes, and the soft "take care" that lingered in his ears. It was strange how much he missed his presence, even though they had just spent days together during the wedding and honeymoon phase.

Every now and then, Taehyung would glance at his phone, hoping for a message or call from Jungkook, but he restrained himself from reaching out first. He didn't want to seem overly clingy, yet the silence made him miss his husband even more.

By lunchtime, Taehyung couldn't take it anymore. He pulled out his phone and quickly typed out a message: "Miss you, bun. How's your day going?" Before he could second-guess himself, he hit send and leaned back in his chair, hoping Jungkook would reply soon.

Despite his serious attitude in the office, Taehyung's heart was soft for only one person, and it showed in how much he longed to be home, back in Jungkook's arms.

Jungkook quickly replied to Taehyung's message, his heart fluttering as he typed:

"I miss you so much too, Taehyungiieee hyungie Hyung. Have you eaten the lunch I packed for you this morning? Don't forget to eat it! You worked hard, so take care of yourself, okay?"

Taehyung smiled as he read Jungkook's message. He glanced over at the lunchbox that had been sitting on the corner of his desk all morning. He had been so engrossed in work that he hadn't even realized the time. Opening the lunchbox, Taehyung found all his favorite dishes carefully prepared by his husband. The sight of it filled him with warmth.

He messaged back:

"I almost forgot, but I'll eat it now, just for you. Thank you for taking such good care of me, bun. I'll finish everything, promise."

As Taehyung started eating, he could taste the love Jungkook had put into every bite. It wasn't just the flavors that made the meal special, but knowing that Jungkook had thought of him, prepared it with such care, and even worried about whether he would eat it. It made the food all the more comforting.

He smiled to himself, already looking forward to the moment he could return home to Jungkook later that day.

As evening settled in, Taehyung remained deeply engrossed in his work, unaware of the hours passing by. The office was almost empty, with most employees having left for the day. It was already 8:00 pm when Namjoon, who was about to leave, noticed the light still on at Taehyung's desk. He approached and saw Taehyung sitting alone, focused on the documents in front of him.

Namjoon cleared his throat, and Taehyung glanced up, slightly surprised.

"Taehyung-ah," Namjoon began with a gentle smile, "what are you still doing here? Aren't you going home? You have someone waiting for you."

Taehyung blinked and looked at the clock, realizing how late it was. A sense of guilt crept over him. He had been so caught up in his work that he hadn't even thought about the time, and now Jungkook was probably waiting for him at home, expecting him to return much earlier.
