Jimin walked in just as Jungkook settled at his workstation. "Kookie, you're here?" Jimin asked, pulling him into a warm hug.
"Jimin-hyung, how are you? How's Yoongi-hyung?" Jungkook asked in return, a fond smile on his face.
Jimin rolled his eyes. "That man is fine-just fine, and it's driving me nuts," he sighed dramatically. "He's working twenty hours a day, Jungkook! I try to get him to take a break, but he just brushes me off, saying he's got things to do. I tell him, 'Yoongi, at least spend a little time with your very pretty husband.' But he doesn't listen! And he's skipping meals, ignoring his health... I'm genuinely worried!"
Jungkook couldn't help the soft laugh that escaped him, despite trying to hold it back. Jimin's exasperated monologue was strikingly similar to his own eomma, Jin, who had a habit of launching into a heartfelt but rapid-fire monologue whenever his appa, Namjoon, was buried in work.
"Sorry, Hyung," Jungkook chuckled, "it just reminded me of Eomma. He does exactly what you're doing-rapping out his frustrations in one go. But... maybe just talk to Yoongi-hyung gently, Jimin-shii. He's likely just caught up in his work and doesn't realize the effect it's having. Don't let it get to you, okay?"
Jimin sighed, nodding as he softened. "I'll try, Kookie. Maybe I'll have to channel Jin Eomma's style and corner him." He grinned, a spark of determination in his eyes, making Jungkook laugh even more.
Jungkook grinned, unable to hold back his laughter. "Hyung, you mean you're going to hit him with a pan? Eomma has his special pink pan he uses on Appa when he's too busy to listen. Poor Yoongi-hyung, he's a gentleman-have mercy!"
Jimin rolled his eyes, laughing. "Trust me, Yoongi deserves it sometimes, but maybe I'll try something else... A date! How about that? We haven't done anything fun in ages."
Jungkook's face lit up. "Perfect! How about this weekend? I can arrange everything at Eomma's café. Just you two, all cozy and romantic."
Jimin's eyes sparkled. "Yes! That would be amazing, Kookie!" Then, with a sly grin, he added, "But enough about me-how's that clingy husband of yours doing? By the look of those cheeks, every night's got to be a happy one, huh?"
"Hyungggg!" Jungkook whined, cheeks turning pink as he pouted, embarrassed. "Please, don't! Hyungie is... well, he's amazing, but I get shy talking about it."
Jimin giggled, nudging him playfully. "Alright, alright, little bunny. But honestly, your husband's so romantic and clingy, and here I am with Mr. Okay-okay." He huffed, rolling his eyes dramatically.
Jungkook giggled, raising an eyebrow as he took out his phone. "Hyung, you're going to regret saying that." He hit play on a recording he'd just taken of Jimin's little rant.
Jimin gasped. "Kookie! What are you-?"
Grinning mischievously, Jungkook handed him the phone. "Look, Yoongi-hyung already responded!"
The message on the screen read: "Tell your Jiminie to be ready, because he's not getting away tonight."
Jimin turned bright red, sputtering. "You...you little sneak! Just wait till I get my hands on you!"
Both of them burst into laughter, teasing and poking each other like true brothers.
