As Taehyung led Jungkook down a narrow path to their family's strawberry field, Jungkook's face lit up with pure excitement. Rows and rows of lush green plants, speckled with juicy red strawberries, stretched out before them, and Jungkook practically bounced with anticipation.
"Taehyungie, I didn't know your strawberry field was so beautiful! This is amazing!" he said, pulling on Taehyung's arm.
Taehyung chuckled, handing Jungkook a pair of gloves, an apron, and a sunhat. "I told you we'd be doing some farming today. Figured you'd like this part the best," he said, adjusting Jungkook's hat for him.
Jungkook smiled, adjusting his gloves before diving right in, carefully picking the ripe strawberries and placing them in the basket Taehyung held. "Look at this one, Tae!" he exclaimed, holding up a big, perfectly red strawberry.
"Beautiful," Taehyung said, gazing at Jungkook more than the strawberry. "But I think I found one even sweeter," he teased, leaning in to peck Jungkook's cheek.
Jungkook blushed, but he recovered quickly, nudging Taehyung's shoulder with a playful grin. "Oh, so you're here to charm me with your country-boy flirting, huh?"
"Only for you," Taehyung replied with a wink. "Now let's see if you can keep up with me in picking. The faster we work, the more strawberries we'll get for the market."
Jungkook pouted, placing another berry in the basket. "Fine, but if I win, you owe me extra cuddles later."
"It's a deal," Taehyung laughed, watching as Jungkook concentrated with determination, his competitive streak kicking in.
After a while, they took a break, sitting on a nearby patch of grass with baskets brimming with strawberries. Jungkook picked one up, inspecting it before taking a bite, juice dribbling down his chin.
Taehyung laughed, wiping the juice from Jungkook's face with his thumb before tasting it himself. "It's sweet," he murmured, gazing at Jungkook with a soft smile.
"Everything feels so peaceful here," Jungkook sighed contentedly, leaning against Taehyung's shoulder. "I could get used to this."
"Maybe we should visit more often then," Taehyung suggested, wrapping an arm around him. "I think the strawberries are a little sweeter when we pick them together."
Jungkook smiled, nodding. "I'd love that. And you know, I'm definitely going to win the cuddles later," he added with a mischievous grin.
Taehyung pulled him closer, placing a gentle kiss on his forehead. "With you, I'd happily lose every time."
They spent the rest of the afternoon side by side, talking, laughing, and sharing small, tender moments as they worked. By the time they finished, their baskets were full, and their hearts even fuller.
As the rain softly drizzled over the strawberry fields, Taehyung and Jungkook settled into the cozy little shed, watching the gentle rhythm of raindrops washing the strawberries, giving them a fresh, vibrant glow. They had sent the filled baskets off with the farm workers, leaving them alone to enjoy the peaceful scene.
Taehyung picked up a ripe strawberry, holding it delicately between his fingers, then bit into it and leaned toward Jungkook, a playful sparkle in his eyes. Jungkook grinned, catching on, and leaned in to take the rest from Taehyung's lips, their faces so close he could feel Taehyung's warm breath.
"Hmm," Jungkook murmured, savoring the sweetness, "Strawberries taste better like this, don't you think?"
Taehyung chuckled, watching Jungkook with adoration. "I think everything's sweeter with you," he replied, brushing a thumb over Jungkook's cheek.
