It was the middle of the night when Jin stirred awake, feeling parched. He reached for the glass of water on the nightstand, but it was empty. Sighing, he attempted to slip out of bed, only to feel Namjoon’s arm tighten around his waist.

“Where are you going?” Namjoon’s deep, sleep-laden voice rumbled softly, his hold becoming more secure.

“To get some water,” Jin whispered back, trying not to wake him fully.

Namjoon buried his face into the crook of Jin’s neck. “It’s the middle of the night, Jinnie. Sleep.”

Jin sighed, exasperated but fond. “Namjoon, I’m thirsty.”

Namjoon groaned like a child denied his favorite treat but loosened his grip, his eyes barely opening. “Fine... but come back quickly,” he muttered, giving Jin a look of sleepy betrayal, as if being apart for even a minute was unbearable.

Smiling softly, Jin kissed Namjoon’s forehead. “I’ll be right back.”

He padded down the stairs quietly and made his way to the kitchen. As he entered, the sight that greeted him made him pause mid-step. There, on the countertop, sat his precious son, his pregnant baby bun, Jungkook.

Jungkook was perched comfortably, cross-legged on the cold surface, cradling a massive bowl of ice cream. What caught Jin’s attention, however, was the vibrant red gochugaru paste swirled into the dessert. Jungkook was happily munching on the bizarre concoction, looking utterly content.

“Baby bun, what on earth are you eating?” Jin asked, walking closer, his voice a mix of concern and amusement.

Jungkook looked up, startled for a moment, before breaking into his signature bunny smile. “Eomma! I was craving something spicy and sweet!” He shoveled another spoonful into his mouth, humming in delight.

Jin blinked, bewildered. “Ice cream... with gochugaru? Jungkook-ah, that’s not normal food. Are you okay? Is the baby okay?” He quickly moved to inspect Jungkook, gently placing his hands on his son’s big bump.

“Eomma, relax!” Jungkook giggled, rubbing his belly fondly. “The baby’s fine. Look, no complaints from the little one.”

Jin sighed, shaking his head but couldn’t help smiling. “You’re just like your me when I was pregnant with you. You made me eat honey-drenched spicy chicken wings at 2 a.m. I swear, cravings must be hereditary.”

Jungkook laughed, offering Jin a spoonful of his concoction. “Want to try?”

Jin recoiled dramatically. “Absolutely not! I love you, bun, but I’m not risking my taste buds on that monstrosity.”

The two shared a hearty laugh, their bond radiating warmth in the quiet kitchen. Jin couldn’t help but feel grateful for moments like this—messy, bizarre, but filled with love.

“Alright, finish up and let’s get you back to bed,” Jin finally said, taking the now-empty bowl from Jungkook.

Jungkook hopped off the counter with surprising grace for someone so pregnant. “Fine, but you have to tell me more about your weird cravings back then.”

Jin chuckled, putting an arm around Jungkook’s shoulders. “Oh, you have no idea. I was  worse than you could ever be...”

The two walked back to their rooms, laughter echoing softly through the mansion. Upstairs, Namjoon stirred, instinctively reaching out to pull Jin back into his arms the moment he returned, never fully awake but always needing his Jinnie close. And as Jungkook snuggled back into Taehyung’s arms, he whispered softly to his baby, promising a lifetime of love and laughter.
