The morning at Taekook's apartment was far from peaceful. Taehyung had woken up, as usual, enjoying the quiet moment to watch Jungkook sleep beside him. But his serene gaze turned to frustration when his phone rang, pulling him away from his thoughts.

"Hello, Hyung. Good morning," Taehyung greeted Yoongi softly, trying not to wake Jungkook.

"Tae, have you seen the trending news on Twitter this morning?" Yoongi's voice was tense, sounding far from a typical greeting.

"What's going on, Hyung? Is something important happening?" Taehyung asked, immediately sensing trouble.

Yoongi took a deep breath. "It's about Jungkook. There's a rumor going around that he's engaged to Choi Inseyeop and is about to marry him. It's all over the internet."

"What?" Taehyung's composure vanished, his voice hardening with anger. "How dare they spread something like that?" His raised voice startled Jungkook awake, making him look up with wide, confused eyes.

"Hyung..." Jungkook murmured, still groggy but sensing Taehyung's distress.

Taehyung wrapped him in a firm embrace, trying to steady his breathing as he spoke to Yoongi. "I'll call you later, Hyung. Thanks for letting me know." Hanging up, he returned his attention to Jungkook, whose worried eyes searched his face.

"What happened, Tae?" Jungkook asked softly, a note of concern in his voice.

Taehyung gently cupped Jungkook's face, brushing his thumb over his cheek. "There's a ridiculous rumor going around that you're... apparently getting engaged to Inseyeop. That you're about to marry him."

Jungkook's eyes widened in shock. "What? That's absurd! We're already married. How could anyone believe I'd marry someone else?" He looked hurt and incredulous, his voice tinged with disbelief.

Taehyung's gaze darkened as he held him closer. "Exactly. How can they spread a rumor like this about someone who's already married? It's as if they're ignoring our entire relationship." Taehyung's arms tightened around Jungkook, protective and firm. "No one's going to mess with us. I'll make sure of it."

Jungkook buried his face in Taehyung's chest, his voice muffled. "Why won't they just leave us alone?"

Taehyung stroked his back reassuringly. "They're not worth our peace, Kook. We'll put a stop to this nonsense together. You're mine, and no rumor or lie will ever change that."

Taehyung and Jungkook got ready, determined to address the rumors directly. Taehyung's jaw was set with a firm resolve, and Jungkook could feel the intensity radiating from him as they left the apartment together. Jungkook, dressed in a light blue sweater that softened his expression, held onto Taehyung's hand tightly, drawing strength from his husband's presence. Taehyung, in a sharp black blazer, exuded an aura of authority, making it clear he wasn't one to be crossed.

They arrived at Jeon Corp, where Namjoon and Jin were waiting. Both were already aware of the rumors, their faces a mixture of anger and worry for Jungkook. Namjoon greeted them with a firm handshake, squeezing Jungkook's shoulder reassuringly. "We'll handle this," he said, his tone leaving no room for argument.

They made their way to Namjoon's office, where a team was ready to strategize on how to stop the rumor mill and protect Jungkook's reputation. Namjoon didn't waste any time, calling their PR team and lawyers to discuss potential legal action against the sources of the rumors. Jungkook sat beside Taehyung, feeling reassured by his family's swift response but still unsettled by the situation.

"Who would even spread such nonsense?" Jin questioned, his face showing both frustration and sadness. "As if they don't respect Jungkook's marriage, or our family, at all."
