Jungkook was making the bed , when he saw Taehyung he ignored him , " Jungkook!"
"Talk to me , I SAID TALK TO ME"
Jungkook's hands froze as he arranged the sheets, his heart racing at the sudden change in Taehyung's tone. He had been trying to avoid confrontation, but now the tension in the air was almost suffocating. Jungkook hesitated, biting his lip, knowing he had to face Taehyung's piercing gaze."Jungkook, I'm talking to you," Taehyung insisted, stepping closer. The dominance in his voice made Jungkook's heart flutter with a mix of fear and affection. But the insecurity still loomed large, pushing him deeper into his shell.
"I don't want to talk," Jungkook muttered, finally looking up. He met Taehyung's eyes, and the hurt reflected in them made his chest ache. "I just... I don't want to ruin the night."
"Ruin what night?" Taehyung's frustration was palpable, but there was also an underlying concern in his voice. "We can't pretend everything is fine when it's not. You're not fine, and I can't stand watching you struggle alone."
"I'm just tired," Jungkook said defensively, turning his gaze back to the bed. The truth was, he was tired of feeling inadequate, of constantly measuring himself against others. He didn't want Taehyung to see him in such a vulnerable state. "I don't want to talk about it."
"Jungkook..." Taehyung took a deep breath, trying to keep his composure. "Ignoring me won't make the problem go away. I can't help you if you keep pushing me away. I care about you too much for that."
Jungkook's heart sank at the sincerity in Taehyung's words. "You shouldn't have to care, though," he replied, his voice barely above a whisper. "I should be enough for you. I don't want to hold you back."
Taehyung stepped forward, closing the gap between them. "Enough? You're more than enough for me. I chose you, Jungkook. I love you. It hurts to see you doubt that."
Jungkook's breath hitched, the weight of Taehyung's love pressing down on him. "I just... I see you with others, and I feel like I don't measure up," he confessed, his voice trembling. "I'm just a kid in a college outfit while you're out there looking all professional and successful."
"Jungkook, stop," Taehyung said firmly, taking Jungkook's hands in his own. "You're incredible just as you are. Those outfits don't define your worth. I fell in love with you, not with what you wear or how you compare to anyone else."
"But I feel so childish compared to you," Jungkook admitted, his eyes filling with unshed tears. "What if one day you realize you deserve someone better?"
"Listen to me," Taehyung said, his voice softening. "I chose you, and I would choose you a million times over. Your insecurities don't scare me; they make me want to protect you even more. You're perfect for me, and I wouldn't want anyone else."
Tears slipped down Jungkook's cheeks as he looked into Taehyung's eyes, searching for any sign of insincerity. Instead, he found nothing but love and determination. "I don't want to lose you," he said, his voice breaking.
"You won't," Taehyung vowed, pulling Jungkook into a tight embrace. "I'm not going anywhere. Just talk to me, please. Let me in."
Jungkook melted into Taehyung's warmth, the tension slowly dissipating. "I'm sorry for acting like this," he whispered, feeling ashamed of his insecurities. "I love you too, and I don't want to ruin us."
"You're not ruining anything, Bun," Taehyung reassured him, gently stroking his back. "You're human, and it's okay to have these feelings. Just don't keep them inside. We're a team, remember?"
Jungkook nodded, his heart swelling with gratitude and love. "Thank you for being patient with me," he said, pulling back slightly to meet Taehyung's gaze. "I'll try to be better."
