The Jeon Mansion was in chaos. Jungkook, seated on the couch with a death grip on the armrests, was yelling at the top of his lungs. "Why does this feel like someone is trying to drag my insides out?!" he screamed dramatically, tears streaming down his face. Jin and Bo-ah were circling him like mother hens, panicked but trying to stay composed.
"Jungkook, sweetheart, breathe! Remember the breathing exercises," Jin instructed, mimicking exaggerated breaths. "In through the nose, out through the mouth."
Jungkook glared at his eomma. "Do I look like I can breathe, eomma?!" he snapped, clutching his belly. "You breathe! I’m dying here!"
Bo-ah, equally distressed, ran back and forth between the kitchen and the living room, holding an ice pack in one hand and a towel in the other. "Should I get you water? Or… or maybe milk? Oh my goodness, why isn’t Taehyung here yet?!"
Jungkook groaned, doubling over slightly as another contraction hit. "He’s probably sipping coffee in that stupid traffic! I’m going to divorce him for abandoning me!" He shot a deathly glare at Jin and Bo-ah, who exchanged nervous glances.
"I’m sure he’s on his way, bun," Jin tried to soothe him, but Jungkook wasn’t having it.
"On his way?! I’m about to have his babies without him!" Jungkook wailed, suddenly grabbing Bo-ah’s hand. "Eomma, promise me you’ll punch him when he gets here!"
Bo-ah nodded fervently. "I’ll punch him twice if you want!" she promised, her voice shaking with panic.
The two mothers somehow managed to get Jungkook into the car, but the drama didn't end there.
"Why is this seatbelt so tight? Are you trying to suffocate me?!" Jungkook yelled at Jin, who was fumbling with the buckle.
"It’s just for safety, bun," Jin said, his voice high-pitched with stress.
"Safety?! I’m about to give birth in your car, eomma! Safety is the least of our problems!" Jungkook screeched, his mood swinging wildly as he clutched his belly.
Bo-ah, sitting in the backseat with Jungkook, tried to calm him by patting his back. "Think of the babies, Jungkookie. Think of how cute they’ll be—"
"The babies?! Babies this babies that .... Jungkook interrupted. "Do you know how many pancakes I’ve eaten because of them? And now they’re trying to tear me apart! Am sorry eomma it's just my mood swings " Jungkook cleared in end .
Jin floored the gas pedal, praying to every deity he knew that they’d make it to the hospital in time. Meanwhile, Taehyung, still stuck in traffic, was frantically yelling at driver. "Can’t you fly this car?! My husband is in labor!"
Back in the car, Jungkook suddenly grabbed Jin’s arm. "Eomma, if I die, tell Taehyung it’s all his fault!"
Bo-ah gasped, tears welling up in her eyes. "Don’t say that! You’re going to be fine!"
Finally, they screeched to a halt at the hospital entrance. Nurses rushed out with a wheelchair, and Jin and Bo-ah helped Jungkook out of the car.
"Someone get me an epidural! Or a new body! I don’t care which!" Jungkook yelled as the nurses wheeled him inside.
By the time Taehyung and the rest of the family arrived, Jin and Bo-ah were slumped in the waiting room chairs, exhausted.
"What happened?" Taehyung asked, breathless and panicked.
Bo-ah shot him a glare. "Your husband threatened to divorce But don’t worry, he’s fine."
Jin nodded, his face pale. "I need a vacation after this."
