"Mr. Kim, the CEO, has sent these boxes to be delivered to you," the office assistant said as he stepped into Taehyung's office.
Taehyung nodded politely, gesturing toward the table. "Thank you. Please leave them there."
After the assistant left, Taehyung walked over to the table and opened the box. Inside, he found a beautifully packed breakfast prepared exclusively by his daughter, Sarang. A small, handwritten note rested on top.
He picked up the note, his lips curving into a soft smile as he read it aloud to himself:
"Dada, I know you left early today, and you and Mumma let me sleep in to lighten my load. But as your daughter and the symbol of your love with Mumma, it's my duty to take care of you too. Please eat your breakfast-it's already 10:30! Lots of love, your Lil Bun."
Taehyung's lips curved into a warm smile as he read the note. His heart melted at the sight of his daughter's neat handwriting and the thoughtful gesture. The breakfast box was carefully arranged with Sarang's favorite dishes for him fluffy pancakes, neatly cut fruits, a small container of homemade syrup, and a thermos of warm coffee.
He could almost picture her little face scrunching up in concentration as she prepared it, possibly with Jungkook supervising from the side. "That little bun," he murmured to himself, shaking his head fondly.
Picking up his phone, he quickly dialed Jungkook. The call connected after a couple of rings.
"Hyung, is everything alright?" Jungkook's soft voice came through.
"I should be asking you that," Taehyung chuckled. "Did our little bun wake up early to make this? The note says she doesn't want me overworking myself." His voice was filled with pride and adoration.
Jungkook let out a small laugh. "She woke up at dawn insisting you might skip breakfast because of the meeting. I helped her a little, but she wanted to do most of it herself. You know how stubborn she gets."
Taehyung's heart swelled. "Tell her Dada loved it, and she's a better boss than me when it comes to taking care of her parents and let her sleep till noon she has been working hard since few days ."
"Will do," Jungkook replied, his voice warm. "Also, don't forget to finish everything, okay? You can't say no to your daughter."
"Alright, alright, I'm eating," Taehyung said, already taking a bite of the pancake. The sweet flavor combined with the love poured into the meal made it the best breakfast he'd ever had.

"Hyung, why don't you listen to me? Dada will kill me if he finds out we're meddling with lawful matters on our own! For God's sake, Hyung, I'm just a writer, not a lawyer like you. Let me go, please, or my worldwide handsome face will have bruises!" pleaded the younger brother, Kim Taejoon, a man in his mid-twenties, clutching onto his elder brother's arm like a lifeline.
His elder brother, Kim Taehyun, rolled his eyes with a mixture of annoyance and amusement. "Shut up, idiot. This is an important case. I don't trust the cops to move quickly, and we can't risk losing any leads. We rarely get clues like this early on, so I have to take matters into my own hands," he retorted sharply, tugging Taejoon along.
Taejoon groaned, dragging his feet. "But, Hyung, why me? And what is this nonsense about taking matters into your own hands? You're a lawyer, not some action hero!"
Taehyun ignored him, smirking at his brother's theatrics. "And what's this 'worldwide handsome' nonsense you keep spouting? Have you been spending too much time with Jin Mumma? You sound just like him, always praising himself," he teased, shaking his head.
