They had been completely focused on the two horses chasing them down from the hill, with the pursuers hot on their heels. In desperation, they had leapt over the fence...

When the horse landed from such a height, Zhu Tong felt a sharp pain where his thigh had rubbed against the saddle. But he had been so caught up in the exhilaration of riding that he hadn't paid much attention. Now, with the situation settled, even the slightest movement caused intense pain.

How was he supposed to get off the horse?

Everyone outside the arena was staring in their direction, and more staff were rushing over from inside the course.

Zhu Tong had become the center of attention.

The pain made him hesitant to move.

Shao Ming seemed to realize what was happening and extended his hand. "I'll help you down."

"No!" Zhu Tong protested urgently.

There were so many people watching! It was bad enough that he wasn't good at riding, but to have to be carried off the horse?

He still had his pride.

But it really did hurt.

Zhu Tong glanced at Shao Ming with rare frustration, but he couldn't blame him for what happened today. Shao Ming had been cautious and attentive—who could have expected those two lunatics to show up out of nowhere?

His gaze shifted to the two people on the other horse, and suddenly, all his pent-up emotions found an outlet.

"Could I borrow your phone for a moment?" he asked one of the staff members.

They had left their phones in the lockers when they put on their riding gear.

The staff member glanced at Shao Ming, clearly hesitant.

This guy had just mentioned calling the police. While there was nothing wrong with reporting it, getting the authorities involved would certainly harm the stable's reputation, and the staff member didn't want to make that call on his own.

"Sir, perhaps..."

"Don't worry, I'm not calling the police," Zhu Tong reassured him.

The staff member still seemed doubtful, but at that moment Shao Ming glanced over at him, and the man quickly handed over his phone, startled by Shao Ming's intense expression. His temper was no joke; his eyes looked like they could kill!

Compared to him, the young man on the horse had such a good temperament. The staff member decided to trust him.

Zhu Tong really had no intention of calling the police. He quickly dialed a number. "Uncle Liu, it's me. Are you at the stables?"

Outside the riding course, diligent Uncle Liu sat in the driver's seat, smoking. He had secretly followed along in case the young master needed anything and didn't want to be late.

But this was something the young master mustn't know about—ruining his fun would be bad.

After days of observation, Uncle Liu had concluded that the young man called Shao Ming was quite reliable. The weather was pleasant today, so there was no need to worry about the wind or catching a cold. It was a perfect day for the young master to get some sun and enjoy himself.

"Stables? No, I'm..."

Zhu Tong cut him off. "Two idiots deliberately rode their horses into me. Can you..."

"What?! Someone rode into you? Young master, stay right there! I'll be there in two minutes!"

Zhu Tong: "..."
