Before receiving news of Zhu Tong's hospitalization, Cheng Qingsong was discussing Zhu Tong's condition with Dr. Johnson.

He had been abroad for the past two days and had just returned today, finally finding time to thoroughly understand his grandson's condition.

Though it was called an illness, no actual disease had been detected.

All physical indicators were normal, including the heart examination, which showed no issues whatsoever.

It was certainly good news that his body had recovered, but going from being severely ill to showing no abnormalities at all seemed rather strange.

"Are you sure there's no problem with these tests?"

Cheng Qingsong found it difficult to believe.

Dr. Johnson nodded and replied, "Yes, Mr. Cheng. To ensure the accuracy of the results, we had Young Master Tong return to the hospital the next day for a second examination. The equipment was thoroughly checked, and we confirmed there was no mistake."

Cheng Qingsong: "..."

He held a stack of test results in his hands, uncertain whether he should feel relieved or concerned.

Dr. Johnson added, "Although this is indeed quite incredible, Young Master Tong's health has genuinely been restored. Scientific testing doesn't lie."

Cheng Qingsong replied, "Then could you explain scientifically how he managed to recover from a heart condition in less than two months?"

Dr. Johnson remained composed and said seriously, "I'll find out as soon as possible."

"..."

Cheng Qingsong was about to dismiss them when a knock suddenly sounded at the door.

Someone entered and said, "Mr. Cheng, Mr. Liu just called—Young Master Tong collapsed and was taken to the hospital from the Zhu family's residence."

"..."

Dr. Johnson felt as though he had just heard a loud "slap" across his face.

Rushing to the hospital, they found several people already gathered outside the operating room.

Despite being nearly seventy, Cheng Qingsong's stride was as vigorous as a young man's. He approached the operating room with an air of authority that seemed to fill the entire corridor.

Zhu Shoushan had known things were going awry when he left the villa with Zhu Tong and ran into Liu Jianbai, who had been waiting outside the villa complex.

How could he have forgotten that someone was now keeping an eye on Zhu Tong?

When did Liu Jianbai start shadowing Zhu Tong? Did he even attend the professor's birthday banquet?

As he waited outside the operating room, cold sweat gathered in his palms and ran down his back.

Yet, Cheng Qingsong paid him no mind, turning instead to ask Uncle Liu, "What's the situation?"

Uncle Liu replied, "He collapsed suddenly; the cause is still unknown."

"..."

Soon, Aunt Cheng and Cheng Chen, who were both in A City, arrived as well.

Aunt Cheng glanced at Zhu Shoushan with suspicion, but she did not press further, keeping her focus on the lit surgery sign in anxiety.

They were all worried about Zhu Tong.

Zhu Shoushan, too, dared not relax for a moment, but his concern was for himself, not Zhu Tong.

He wondered if, upon waking, Zhu Tong would reveal the truth to everyone in the hallway.
