Zhu Tong was born with a weak constitution, but just because his health was poor didn't mean he was abnormal in other aspects. He had simply never received guidance. Suffering from illness, he lacked the energy that his peers had to explore more.

He had had a few rare reactions, but he didn't mind them.

In his middle school biology class, he had overheard some boys discussing physiological matters. Lacking similar experiences, he felt no interest whatsoever. In fact, due to some unspeakable crude language, he felt a strong aversion to these topics.

So, when he noticed something unusual, Zhu Tong's first instinct was to rush to the bathroom.

Once inside, he did nothing, leaning against the cold wall to wait for himself to calm down.

He should be able to calm down quickly.

But it was indeed very cold.

The weather had already turned to winter; even with the air conditioning on, the bathroom tiles were still painfully cold.

Zhu Tong leaned against the wall for a while, unable to tolerate the chill, then straightened up. After taking a moment to compose himself, he leaned against the wall again, repeating this several times until he finally calmed down.

He sighed in relief and began washing up.

After finishing, he stepped out and bumped into someone waiting outside the bathroom, though he didn't know how long they had been there.

Zhu Tong felt his face heat up, the warmth that had just dissipated now returning. "You... why are you here?"

Shao Ming held a blanket, looking at Zhu Tong in his somewhat oversized and thin long blue pajamas, a slight frown forming on his brow. He opened the blanket and wrapped it around Zhu Tong entirely. "It's so cold out. Why are you running around dressed like this?"

"..."

Zhu Tong's icy body was suddenly enveloped in the warm blanket, bringing an indescribable comfort.

He rubbed against the smooth, soft fabric of the blanket, looking up in confusion.

So, Shao Ming waited outside the bathroom because he was worried Zhu Tong would catch a cold from wearing so little?

Not only did Zhu Tong feel physically warm, but his heart also warmed at the thought. His tense body relaxed. "It's fine. I don't catch colds that easily."

However, Shao Ming was still concerned. He brushed aside a strand of hair that had fallen over Zhu Tong's eyes and asked, "Have you felt unwell in any way these past few days?"

Zhu Tong blinked in confusion. "Why do you ask?"

Shao Ming replied, "I noticed you were in there for quite a while."

"..."

Wasn't Shao Ming in the kitchen while he was washing up? How did he know he took a bit longer?

Why was the time longer?

Zhu Tong's face turned red, feeling a bit guilty as he said, "I'm fine. I took a while because it's cold, and the water heater takes time to heat up."

Shao Ming looked at him with a peculiar expression.

It was true that the water heater heated up more slowly in winter, but Zhu Tong almost always entered the bathroom after him, meaning the water heater didn't need to be reheated.

Shao Ming couldn't help but feel worried, suddenly noticing Zhu Tong's ears turning red.

"?"

Before he could ponder the reason, Zhu Tong quickly tightened the blanket around himself, pushing Shao Ming into the bathroom. "You should wash up quickly; otherwise, we'll be late."
